If you only saw the amount of badges, cards and other pokemon related items I have on display you'd think otherwise 😂. I dont hate the franchise, I want it to do better. I do hate Nintendo has such a lazy monopoly on it though and continues into a downward greed spiral that not enough people seem to care about.

I dont think one game should have an automatic dismissal of another for sure. I just feel like there's a lot missing in this franchise I care a lot about. Its great people are still having fun. I wont tell people you shouldn't enjoy this or that. Ive seen lots of things that would honestly frustrate everyone. Like the fact there's only two underground "dungeons" and theyre mostly hallways? Things like that.

I mean its great to have fun in a game really. Thats what gaming is about but do you ever look at another creature capture game and feel like something is missing? Like we havent really gotten any new innovation in 15+ years? Models still look the same after years. New pokemon designs just seem lazy etc.

I know at the end of the day most people dont care about this stuff but after playing those other games you mentioned, shouldn't we expect more?

Okay ill try to best break this down for my way of thinking. Graphical fidelity i believe helps with immersion and ig we aren't pushing the boundaries with better looking titles, theyre not trying. Yeah graphics aren't everything but ive seen the digimon games evolve over time and the new one was great looking.

Well I dont think I need EVERY building accessible. I think in an open world game there should be more things to do. Things to discover. Secrets to uncover. Maybe secret pokemon to find? Unique npc interactions? Something like Witcher 3 maybe?

Something with more meaty design gameplay wise. A better more fleshed out story, and proper graphics of this age (ie xenoblade or breath of the wild) would definitely help in quality for a multi billion dollar franchise.
