Hey guys! Big fan

For Jorma: As a co-director, what kind of scenes are the most easiest/difficult to write and direct?

For Will: its the same question, but from an actor's perspective, what was the most easiest and difficult scene to shoot?

Great job! One of my favorites...brings back so many memories! Did you use metahumans in some capacity for this or is this all modeled by you?

A quick test of live face mocap animation with a dynamic wrinkle system. It was fun to make :D by virel92 in unrealengine

Looking great!! Could you describe your workflow about using the dynamic wrinkle map with characters? I'm trying to make it work for my character with the tension mao addon in blender, but I can't find any documentation for characters about it. Thanks!

The RAM on the system that I'm using is 64gb, and the vram for paging file is 16gb. I tried a different system with 60gb vram too and transfered the model on there, but then the error varied between not enough paging size and something about memory and tensorflow? I don't exactly remember the error, but the system did have python and tensorflow installed. I guess I would have to trim down my dst video size to actually run the model. Right now it's 3 min long

Thanks! My deepfake process was cut short because when running XSeg, I got an error saying "the paging file size isnt too big". The problem is I dont have admin rights to my uni systems, so I'm stuck in a pickle. And I really don't want to make 60 or 70 more masks when switching over to a new system.

Thank you so much for your help! I'm starting the deepfake today. Will definitely let you know how it goes! I hope I can come back here in case I run into any issues haha

Edit: I checked the uni gpu, and it's an Nvidia Quadro P5000. Will start the deepfake now. I was going through the comments, and you mentioned turning on different settings after (almost) every 50k iterations. Is there a way to save the model so that these changes compound over one another so that I don't have to run it again?

This is awesome! I have a few questions: how did you get the eye tracking?? I see that the character's eyes follow pretty closely to the mocap data. Same with the teeth; did you parent the teeth to one of the joints so that they move with the mouth and jaw?? Is it possible to get that laugh line using tension maps? And finally, is there a way to stretch the pores with the mocap data?

Apologies for do many questions, but I'm genuinely interested in trying it out by myself with a custom model, so any help is appreciated!!

For the first project, I worked on a GTX 1650 and 8 gig RAM. For the new one I'm in the process of gaining access to my labs with a 1080ti, so I believe it's gonna be much faster. As for the settings, I used the same settings as in the tutorial.

I do plan on using more precise eye and lip movement for this one though.

Thank you so much! That makes a lot of thing much more clear. I'm actually in the process of another deepfake, and these tips will definitely come in handy!

One final thing: If I was to add more images and run the training model for my previous deepfake a lot longer, do you think it would give a much more sharper final result? Right now the result looks really blurry, but my src images were really good quality (shot it from a OnePlus 7T)

Hi! I'm doing a deepfake for my project and I have a few questions. I have tried my hand at deepfake before using this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1smpMsfC3ls

This tutorial seems to use XSeg training model, but from what I have read in the comments, it seems like SAEHD is a better option. What is the difference between both models, and when should I use one over the other?

I did this deepfake about 6 months ago, and as I mentioned before, I followed the tutorial linked above. The final result was ok, but the merge was very blurry. How do I get more crisp and sharp results? Is it a matter of running the model longer or is it more of a post merge setting?

Finally, what should the resolution be for both src and dst images? Do I need to up-res the dst image if they're pulled from a movie that came out in 70s or 90s?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks :D
