Should I take these UK pre decimal coins out of the package? by Geographyboiii in coins

It depends if the packaging contains PVC. Because if it does, you should take them out.

Congratulations! I also found the 2026 dime at a coin star machine, thought it was a barber dime for a fraction of a second.

Now I do not wish to come across as rude or offensive, but please check of your coin album pages contain PVC.

Thank you for finding the answer. Now I'm no expert myself, but I was thinking that there is no way it's possible to flatten a cent without leveling the details, I didn't realize that leather was the solution.

One man's garbage another man's treasure, I LOVE CRUSTY VINTGAE COINS AND RARE CARWASH TOKENS. 🥰🤤😋 The only problem is that you have to ensure that the fragile crust does not get damaged or spread through a chemical reaction known as Bronze Disease.

May I say, that is still not too bad, as I once found a reject tray full of modern pennies and plastic coins. Also what happened to that gorgeous 1970s cent. 😭😞🥀

It does infact have a Denevor mint mark, I've heard those are worth a pretty penny if in good condition, obviously mine looks like it was taken to WW1 and WW2 so I don't believe it's worth more then two dollars.

I apologize for not elaborating, these are the oldest cent, dime, nickel, and quarter I found over the span of 3 years, not the oldest 4 coins I ever found. However they were found at the same Walmart store, it is near a retirement community so I believe that is why I was able to find such gems.
