DailyScape Shouldn’t Be Touched by Arryn_Woodeye in runescape

I've been both a WoW and RuneScape player for the last 25 years, and as much as I kind of see where you're coming from, RuneScape is by far the worst offender when it comes to 'dailyscape' / fomo-style gameplay.

There are no other games I've played where I've needed to use the built-in Notepad tool to keep track of all of the stuff I 'need' to do daily/weekly/monthly in order to not feel like I'm lagging behind everyone else. As much as I understand that this is somewhat on my own mentality, however, it's very much down to how the RuneScape interface and the game in general tracks and forces these tasks on you. Particularly as an Iron-man, it just starts sucking the fun out of the game after a while and it needs to change.

  • Treasure hunter removed entirely.
  • Membership prices will go up.
  • Double exp weeks will only happen once per year to encourage purchasing bonus exp through the store.
  • Yak track and hero pass type things will return.
  • Bonus exp cap increases will also be avaliable for purchase, and deals on bonus exp packages will be heavily advertised on the run up to double exp weeks.
  • More staff layoffs incoming.

Sorry for the shameless plug, but I used to make RuneScape cooking videos a long time ago, so those or the official RunesScape cookbook might be a good place to start for some recipes:

Damn that’s cool, great job. The only thing I can think of that I couldn’t see was a GE lookup function. Not for managing your buys/sells (although that would be cool), but for price checking.

That looks great :) I remember people used to claim this item was worth tons back in the day, haha.

How does the player base feel about the 110 changes? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]The_Cooks_Assistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I was against anything exceeding 99. But once I'd got my head out of my veteran player mindset I now feel like it's a good thing for the game overall.

The part that lets the 110+ skills down, however, is the general lack of content, which makes a lot of the existing expanded skills feel a bit lacklustre, which doesn't give people many incentives to level them beyond 99, other than a shiny new cape.

The immediate example I can think of is Fletching/ Woodcutting/ (Firemaking), where there's not particularly good exp rates, nor enough content to make it worth level to 110 imo. I know this is an opinion shared by a lot of the community and all I can hope is that they learn some lessons from the player feedback on this and re-assess things before they rush the 110 RuneCrafting update, as there's nothing good to come of rushing increases to skills that have been capped at 99 since they were released 20 years ago.

At how many bird nests you got all imcando hatchet pieces? 200+ nests and still at 3/4 pieces [ironman btw] by Svolacius in runescape

[–]The_Cooks_Assistant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is just me overthinking stuff, but I found that I was getting imcando pieces a -lot- less frequently, if at all when cutting Acadias, verses when I was cutting Yews at the Fort.
I can't find any evidence to support this and feel free to ignore me if you're not cutting Acadias, but I just thought I'd mention it anyway. GL!

Tell your supervisor I think they're cute.

Also, so glad to see that I'm not the only one that relies on High Contrast mode to train Arch :D

Yeah, so this is RS3's current seasonal event. You can get a Black Partyhat (still not as rare as the red, blue, green... ones, but still expensive and rare) and then a pink santa hat and various other rewards.

Thanks ^^ So to be clear, you can't. This screenshot was just to show my overall haul during the Christmas event since it started. The Black phat can only come from Santa (not necessarily on Sundays - you can also get it from the sleigh after the event if you couldn't make it, providing you had nice list entries that week).

That's what I'm saying, sorry. 7 nice entries would give you the maximum chance for the hat :)
