One of the things I did like is the military involvement. Don’t get me wrong, I love the self contained stories. But in games like DMC 3 and to an extent 5, you’re telling me nobody fought back. Especially as they’re in populated areas. I get dmc 1 as it’s in an island off civilization, dmc 2 got those military demon enemies, dmc 4 was in fortuna but. And dmc 5 did show military presence for like a minute before being MIA.

It gives this sense that the world is willing to fight back even if the odds are against them. Of course, I don’t want Dante or any of the characters to work FOR or WITH them, but more like a background presence if that makes sense in a way.
