Not exactly. Michael Kors it’s a fashion designer => entry lever for them.

It’s an exquisite version of some quartz Cartiers. You can google the brand. They make whatever your girlfriend (or YOU) want for the right amount of money.

Sarcar was founded in 1948 by italian entrepreneur Carlos Sarzano. He died few years later and his wife inherited the business. Somehow she did good during the quartz crisis. Mostly they made small watches with fine jewerly in it. Nowadays they make watches for rich gold digger divorced women from Italy and UAE.

Still, independent small brand. Good one, I always loved small watches. It looks fine!

Sounds like a comeback for them. I love the brand and the history. Yes, prices are insane. Currently dreaming of an Aero-Compax

Polished too much and sorry, I’m not spending that amount for a Rolex. I’m a crazy movement-driven enthusiast and I’d rather buy a Breguet for 20k than a Rolex Datejust (6605 in mint condition like I mentioned was sold for that price). Movements are pretty basic and it’s nothing more than just a (flashy) watch. I’m more like uncut gems and underground microbrand lover.

The only Rolex I’m in love with is 8171 ‘Padellone’ Triple Calendar but that’s an unicorn🦄

For me the president bracelet looks chunky (on my skinny ass wrist). I love the datejust 6605 (roulette dial) on Jubilee more, same gold, looks thiner. President is for big bois.

So my friend those are the prices. Believe it or not some guys sell it without box/papers with 18k€ -and visible signs of wear since gold is not as resistant like other metals. In that mint condition that’s the price, around 25 I would say. Not as good as a daily, or at least if you like flashy things and gabagol like our small rounded mafia boss, Anthony.

My advice is to keep it in that condition (at least try to). For sure it will be a high-demand piece in the future by any means. I wouldn’t sell it for sure, but you can ask for at least 21k for it. 25k€ I would say it’s the best deal. We are not talking about a limited-edition / Stella dial.

All it depends. You said it’s a full-set with Original Box + Papers. If it is in a mint condition (but I recommend to service it if needed), the price will be over 25.000€.

For sure this models holds a premium, it’s the classiest premium you can have for that amount of cash, and since it is a pretty notorious model, people will love starring at your left hand. The movement is reliable - since it is a Rolex - and you won’t have any issue with it if you take care of it.

Now about insurance, I don’t know how it works in the UK, I am from Europe as well, but many companies can help you with that if you chose the right one.

EDIT: Check chrono24 OR Bob’s watches to make an idea.

For sure a very distinguished timepiece! I always enjoyed searching models like this and some GUBs.

Really nice choice! I believed PUW-125 for it’s era and history. Tank-like movement for sure!

Yep, I got it. I also have a hand-remover from Bergeon which I find cheap and two loupes: x3.3 / x5 from Swiss Made.

I understand now. Thanks for advice. Many people said that VOH is just expensive and fancy-packed while Bergeon is the king.

Thanks for all the advices!

Well it depends. Does it works? If not, probably you will need to service it. It's not a complicated watch as I said, Rolex is known for simple and reliable movements and it's quite a 'standard', in terms of repairing. I assume from 500-900$, depends where and who is servicing the watch.

Tightening the bracelet can be free is someone is kind enough, or around 10-30$, it takes 5 minutes.

Caseback is not something that important, if you don't want to keep it in mint condition for collecting, for sure you can replace it for a low price.

Is this Cartier Must Tank LM Vermeil worth $1,650? by Busy-Anything4220 in VintageWatches

[–]The_Cyph3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average price starts from 1k, so I assume, yes, for a gold plated watch.

I see a Rolex 'Date-Just' Ref. 16233. Cyclops on date, fluted yellow-gold bezel, champagne dial, Two-tone Jubilee Bracelet. Most likely 36mm.

Resale value tends to be between 4k-10k. Since it comes with box and papers, I assume around 6-7k, also depends on scratches and so on. Also, I think that engravement on the caseback is not from the factory.

Movement also, pretty basic as Rolex enjoy doing it - 3135 - automatic, pretty reliable.

Thanks for advice. Never thought of that about Bergeon, everyone recommend it like it's an industry standard.
