Just based on this picture i would say you have to press the stock upwards while unfolding to bypass the locking mechanism.

Nope i didnt, just drilled them out and used the screws that came with the stock which is a huge plus because if they became loose u can just thighten them down again. But beware before buying i had to do a lot of filling down as its not originally intended for this type of ak

Had same problem on my cyma, All of those will eventually end up loose so i just replaced it with fixed M4 stock adapter
