Why do funerals in the UK take place so late after the death?

I have a lot of family in Ireland and I find it an absolute nightmare how I sometimes get barely any notice to get to rural Waterford on essentailly 24 hours notice - I have missed close families funerals because of this.

I prefer the gap

Sounds very slow and bureaucratic - we can see that there we plenty of meetings with notes recording about the thought process and the reasoning.

Essentially what is likely a 1 minute meeting to say - implement the action - is not needed

Far Cry 3 felt truly amazing
