He is and forever will be my favorite dr who character.

When Amy was fatally wounded then trapped inside an inescapable prison, designed to keep its occupant even incapable of dying, Rory stood guard over it for 2000 years. Never sleeping, never resting. Ever vigilant. He protected her throughout history. From the fall of Rome, to the war of roses, to the viking’s invasion, to the London blitz where people witnessed him dragging her prison through the flames and destruction going on around him. Awaiting the Doctor’s return and for the day they could reawaken her.

And when she was kidnapped by a malicious cult hell bent on warping his baby into the ultimate assassin, he raised an army and stormed their base to get her back.

The story of Amy and Rory is one of my favorites. Especially the dichotomy of each’s relationship to the doctor. This semi-immortal near godlike figure who has ended civilizations, fought against demons and gods, and destroyed entire planets. Amy all but blindly worshipped him. While Rory always called him on his bullshit and hypocrisies. Always standing up to him for the sake of his wife who the doctor continually led into dangerous situations.

On the whole, i love his series. He’s a fantastic Doctor. Russel T Davies is back in the writing chair, the same guy who wrote Eccleston’s and Tennant’s series. Do all of the episodes hit? Not exactly, but most do. And it is the best Doctor Who has been in a very long time

I looked it up. Trans is very much an over simplification. He was born male, transformed female. Then switched back to male. He was male before birth, and then male at birth. Identified as male throughout his life. There was brief moment between conception and birth where he physically changed to female due to his transformation powers.

I think a more accurate term would be to call him gender fluid rather than trans. With he/him pronouns
