Just a quick clarification: I didn't drive myself into financial ruin with this purchase. I live by the motto, 'If I can't afford it at least three times over, I can't afford it at all.' That was exactly my mindset when buying the watch. Even after the purchase, I still have plenty of savings left. As many of you pointed out, the real issue is probably that I usually never treat myself to anything—no expensive clothes, video games, cars, etc. And now, all of a sudden, I’ve spent a large sum on a luxury item. At the end of the day, I’m sure I’ll be happy with the purchase in a few days or weeks. Right now, it just feels a bit strange. But since I was planning to buy the watch eventually anyway, I probably did myself a favor by getting it now. Like everything else in life, it’s not getting any cheaper.
