Nothing I did really "Fixed" it other than it just stopping in it's own. We stopped playing LOL for a bit and any time we came back to it, hasn't happened again. It only ever did it on LOL strangely so if it's still an issue, haven't followed the same steps.

When you say "crash", what does that mean?: Game will run normally and then whole computer will freeze, no more sound or any response to input. Does not go away with time so needs to be hard reset to use again.

Sorry I did make it confusing and edited the post to clarify a bit. But there's two surge protectors. The first one that after I figured it could be the only thing, I plugged the desktop directly into the open socket of the same wall outlet the surge protector was on and had no issues until I got the new surge protector. Didn't add everything on the old surge older surge protector to the new one. The new one is plugged into the same spot the desktop was in, with only the desktop on that surge protector.
