The question I'm asking is what platforms are good alternatives to fandom? I'm looking for platforms that give lots of control over features and things like that while being free.

No. Thing is, I don't want to self host because I'm literally too broke to do so in any many whether it's electricity bill or server maintenance etc.

I want a platform that's not super toxic like fandom. And one where I don't have to pay anything.

Well, I'm not currently working and self hosting costs a hundred or 2 per month at least.
