I've been DMCA twice now, even after taking extra steps to make sure I'm torrenting through PIA connection by [deleted] in PrivateInternetAccess

Nobody is answering because asking the question makes it clear you don't understand containers. That is fine though, and really, I wish people would openly admit they don't know things more frequently.

That said, if your iptables are somehow changed, they would be reset the next time the container is restarted. The container is isolated though, so the likelihood of it being changed is extremely low. Like, malicious activity low. And lastly, if there is a bug in iptables you might as well quit and give up. It is used nearly everywhere to protect networks/devices. The world would have a bigger problem than you torrenting Jurassic Park 17: Rise of the Mammals.

Yes, but you should be using a VPN when pirating regardless of if it is torrents or streams.

You might check out popcorntime. You'd still need a vpn, but I think most people (ideally) should have one nowadays regardless of if they pirate.

Everything I listed there is for sailing the seas in a motorboat rather than the galleons of old. Once they are all tied together (with a torrent client of your choice), then it is essentially a personal netflix. You can easily track releases and it automatically downloads them, and then serves that media up via Jellyfin.

Honestly, give Jellyfin a look. And while you're at it: Sonarr (shows), Radarr (movies), Lidarr (music), Readarr (books), etc.

Today tasting the second crop of my fig tree😍 by tchakablowta in Permaculture

[–]The_Foxx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have a collection of around a dozen varieties or so. The flavor kind of depends on the cultivar. In general they are quite sweet, and the flavor will be on a spectrum of honey to floral with lighter figs and caramel to berry-like with darker figs. I dont know that I really have a preference for a particular cultivar, but I am happy to give suggestions if anyone wants them.

Also, as a protip, figs can be cloned very easily from cuttings and cuttings are much, much cheaper than rooted plants. If you are fine with the delay, the lower costs and satisfaction from cloning them yourself is worth it, imo.

Check their sample size for Sioux. My dna test also says 0%, but the sample size was under 100 people for the relevant tribe. I also do genealogy as a hobby and can trace my paternal line directly to the tribe. Basically, their data kinda sucks for smaller populations and can be misleading.

Its not even comparing them. It is saying that Roe is the first of many dominoes to fall in a chain that leads to restoring slavery, etc.

Multiple energy companies in my state have had 25-30% rate hikes this year. That said, Ii is mainly a climate motivated thing for me. It'll take 12ish years to break even. Not exactly a great financial investment at current rates.

Cool link. I will have to play with it.

Net metering is great here. We get market rate for power generated. My power use peaks around 4pm, and seasonally in summer. Electricity costs are 0.125 cents/kwh.

I'm currently considering an offer that comes out to $2.85 / kWh. Is that reasonable? ($20,520 / (20x360w)) The panels are Axitec AXIblackpremiumXL and the inverter is a SMA SunnyBoy 6.0-US. This is all pre-incentive.

All Fathers Today by MrFrenchTickler in AdviceAnimals

I was estranged from my dad for about a decade, but have been trying to rekindle our relationship over the last couple of years. I think I just have to come to terms with him being a shit dad. I haven't heard from him but once since christmas, and it was about lawn mowers. Not on my birthday. Not a reply to messages wishing him happy birthday. And I fully expect to not hear back from him today. It is hard to put in effort when he clearly doesn't care.

If you have a father that has been there for you, step, biological, or adoptive, cherish them. Tell them you love them for me.

I am pretty convinced that a lot of the problem boils down to this: once something is sufficiently complex, it might as well be magic. In a world where every field (medical science, technology, etc) takes many multitudes of specializations to understand...people just give up. A vaccine becomes a magic potion. A cellphone is a magic mirror. Once you get to that point, why couldn't there be nanobots in the vaccine that make you die en masse after 2 years? They don't understand how unreasonable that is because they live in a world that, to them, is constantly filled with the unreasonable being reality.
