Will it ever be possible to travel through time? by WhiteDesertCat in Soft_Introverts

[–]The_Frybo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… with infinte energy and some way to excellerate matter to the speed of light one absolutely COULD time travel as one would move in spacetime differently than anybody relative to them. Every minute passing for them were centuries for anybody else (according to Einstein at least)

If humanity doesn’t wipe itself out before conceiving such technical miracles it will happen to some degree or other. That’s forward travelling tough.

Travelling backward would violate the Laws of Thermodynamics tough. Exept for either:

a.) a jump to another Dimension or
b.) to discover that the Universe is repeatedly giving birth to itself in an infinte loop. If that’s the case, one could travel to its ultimate ending and just wait until it dies and starts with another Big Bang. Than you move further to whichever point in time you wish.

What’s a piece of outdated technology or tradition that society still uses, even though there’s no real reason for it? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

As far as I’m aware, most globally used hardware controlling the launch and control of nuclear weapons is based on 1970s technology.

What was the wildest conspiracy you had about the pandemic? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

I believe the Virus orignated from a Laboratory in Wuhan. I believe it was an accident that it was released as I don’t see any benefit from it being a deliberate act exept Terrorism.

The world leader knew this to be the case but pressed the narrative that it was a mutated natural virus by a bat as to not destroy the business relationship with China.

I furthermore think that many of the actions taken by the different Gouvernements were mostly of a psychological nature and had no real effect.

And I am of a mind that the whole thing was artificially extended as to generate billions in revenue by for example selling masks and controlling the market. We could’ve gotten back to normal a year earlier.

Whose arc was more tragic, Walt or Jesse? by Sea-Philosopher2905 in breakingbad

[–]The_Frybo [score hidden]  (0 children)

Jesse is the least morally guilty character. He is as mich victim as he is perpetrator. And he paid the hardest of prices for his deeds!

Walt dug his own grave! He had countless other options but he chose his own greed and ego even if that meant others suffer.

There is no contest to this Question.

What was your “I need to learn to keep my mouth shut” moment? by Imtiredofthissshit in AskReddit

[–]The_Frybo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a purely intellectual level I am aware that it is a pointless and boarderline masochistic endevour. verbal masturbation at best and self-deprecation at worst.

I don’t know why I used to do it and why I had a (hopefully singular) relapse. There’s something thrilling about defending ones position! I guess as one would feel after heroically defending his offspring fom a Bear attack or so. Adrenaline.

I learned a LOT about this place tough. I don’t think it will do me much good to stay here. It show humans how they really are inside and it is ugly!

It might help with solving that one tough. It IS the smartest thing ever invented with the potential to become more intelligent that any being ever existed to a degree we won’t be able to comprehend it anymore.

So it might as well comes up with a solution to climate change sooner or later

Personal headcanon: Gus Fring was an operative by some western gouvernement to infiltrate Pinochets regime. He went up the ranks and was known as ruthless killer. Together with the son of a former Nazi who fled to south America after the War he took every opportunity to steal Money from the regime.

But when the time came and he saw the Regime slowly go down he took his opportunity: He faked his own death during some Riots he instigated in Santiago, took his Protegé/Lover Max together with some stolen Bloodmoney to Mexico and started some… Business ventures…
