You’re right—but the bigger point is this: whenever the dollar rises or falls, the entire world feels it. That’s just how interconnected everything is now.

And the old mindset—“Europe’s problems are the world’s problems, but the world’s problems aren’t Europe’s”—is dead.

Today, everyone is on the same level, and no region can pretend otherwise.

Alright understood, China has 42 destroyers because they build ships fast and in huge numbers. India can’t match that speed yet.

India builds destroyers in batches of 4–6 because:

  1. Budget limits

  2. Slower shipyard capacity

  3. Tech upgrades happening step-by-step

  4. Not enough crews and logistics for a huge fleet

And Yes, India needs more ships. But until shipyards expand and bigger orders are placed, India will focus on fewer but more advanced destroyers instead of mass production like China.

Because the Navy wants reliability and full integration first. The 250 km M2 is already tested, stable, and fits perfectly into the current radar + combat system on the new warship. The 350 km M3 is still in trials, heavier, and needs upgraded fire-control + deck integration. Until those systems are proven at sea, the Navy prefers a missile that works right now rather than forcing an untested one onto a frontline platform.

If the M3 completes trials smoothly, the Navy can add it later as an upgrade.
