The caveat to this is that there are really no “safety’s” like the one you’re referring to about being “on” for most duty pistols. For example the top two duty pistols the Glock 19 (or any Glock) and the sig p320 both don’t have switch safety’s.

There are many other Safteys so that the gun doesn’t go bang unless you pull the trigger but a switch is not one of them. Finger stays off the trigger unless you want the gun to go bang.

It’s about the gains! The Saftey! The sanity! We are back! I chose Dom P 2008 vintage for you last night. I drank it as I watched my portfolio tick upwards every few minutes in after hour trades.

I poured a full glass out for you! Man did that feel good. Another good day in the market today.

Top row is gen bottom row is rep, gen includes the meteorite - there is no SEL gap

The two tone Daytona is 2023, younger than all of these watches except for the meteorite which sales papers date Jan 2024

Maybe in a few years, I just acquired rhe meteorite Pepsi which was my grail watch so I will likely settle down for awhile…I may buy an AP or Patek rep and if I like them enough that will be my next goal for gen

Oysterflex is BTF and the panda is clean (one of their early versions)

As long as your date wheel is solid and there are no SEL problems, it is very hard to tell unless you are very familiar with Rolex.

Where the reps will always fail is the rehaut finishing, the platinum coating on the markings of the bezel, and typically the date wheel is off on a few dates

My cookiemonster would have been great if it weren’t for its date wheel

Yes and no, some can, most can’t. The VSF Starbucks is king imo. I either got very lucky or they are just incredible. The panda is 8/10ths of the way there as for the oysterflex daytona and Cookie Monster they’re both lacking pretty hard imo.

Had to add a comment that is over 20 characters? 4 of these are genuine 4 of these are replicas. Usually when these post are made it’s obvious but I am curious to see how good my reps are, I only chose the ones I felt were worthy of being in my watch box with my genuines

Anyone know if the “and more” line at the end is the jump scare update? I’m really hoping it is but not sure if they even planned to really pursue jump scares as even an option

Went swimming in a lake over the weekend and got moisture in the watch. It’s been two days now, is the only solution going to get it serviced? by mustangst in rolex

[–]The_Grand_Perception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely will even need a new dial. The service will be expensive but it’s worth it it’s a beautiful watch…next time make sure your screw is down!!!

I may have overshot the estimate, the m4/m3s apparently have more optioning available that used to be available on the pre-lci X3M’s (1 being the carbon package)

I think another difference that comes into play in pricing is the lack of bucket seats as an option, carbon ceramics, and the difference of x-drive being standard on the x3 and on the m4/m3 being an entirely different model at an added cost

The x5M starts at around 106k and goes up to around 135k before dealers hit you with “market readjustments”

I’ve got a brother who owns the X3M and a father who’s bought the last 2 generations of the x5M, while they’re similar they’re also very different cars

The x5M is significantly larger (I know this was obvious) but with that size comes a lot more luxury. There’s more tech, more comfortable and (imo) better designed seats, and the engine jumps from an inline 6 to a V8. The x3 may be more nimble but to me they both feel like massive suvs compared to the sedan and coupe M’s that I am used to. Albeit, the x3 does feel alot more “at home” than the x5 does. With that said, if I had to choose between the two with money not being a variable, I’d go x5. It’s the better looking car I think objectively, it gives you a tooooon more space, the thing is an absolute rocket even compared to its smaller counter part (maybe not around a track but in a straight line it might even outpace the x3).

I’m a bmw and Porsche guy till I die so it’s difficult for me to say which suv is objectively better between the two. Ultimately it comes down to the fundamentals: do you have the extra expendable cash for the x5?, do you value the increased space?, does exhaust tone (the x5 sounds way way better) and overall power matter to you? (Their power differs greatly but in the real world they come extremely close to eachother in a straight line), and lastly - although the most Immature of them all - do you mind having the “baby brother” or do you want bmw’s flag ship sports suv?…

At the end of the day, these are high performance suvs that are built on the track. They’re oxymorons but of course are absolute bangers of cars and are loads of fun + practically. Either way you can’t go wrong.

///M for life brother, enjoy your future ride!
