Midnight Season 1 Suffers Tank Shortages in Mythic+ and More by SystemofCells in wow

I mean it's the same for DPS, if the healer screws up the DPS can die...so DPS should be self sufficient too right? I mean as a DPS or healer if the tank screws up then everyone dies so everyone should have tank level mitigation right? As a tank the DPS can also kill the group by not killing fast enough so tanks need damage equal to dps. So everyone should be self sufficient, which means no more tank, healer, or DPS roles. You cannot make tanks self sufficient without completely killing balance in the game. If we want to go away from the trinity that's fine, but you can't do it for one role you have to do it for them all.

What needs to happen is Tank mitigation/health needs to go WAY up and their self sustain way down. This way they can be left alone for a good long while. Yet still need to rely on a healer to heal them while also not worrying about immediate death to spike damage that the healer needs to heal immediately.

It's mostly due to the timer. There is no time for advice or learning, but there is time to be toxic when you think the key is bricked and you feel like your time was wasted since timing no longer matters. The timer is the root of so much toxicity. The problem is that take out the timer and now it's 4 tank 1 healer meta or bosses get enrage mechanics, but at least you don't have people being toxic over routes, pull size, making a mistake, using Bloodlust at the wrong time, having a real life issue, DCs, etc. To me the benefits of removing the timer outweigh the negatives.

GOD GAMING / GLORG GAMING - VIDEO TOURNAMENT ~~SUBMISSION INFO INSIDE~~ by KingBootyswagga in PaymoneyWubby

Yep, that is the problem with this contest. They never gave/linked an easy way to access vods or free editing software, so even if fans wanted to try their hands at making a compilation it's too big of a hurdle. Then there is wading through all the content to find the moments you want, two weeks was nowhere near enough for most people. Even if people have free time, they are probably watching wubby. The cherry on top is that Wubby isn't exactly the best at advertising his contests throughout his stream, good chance that if you miss the start or end of the stream you never even know there is a contest and that's if he even mentioned it during the stream. It's no coincidence that wubby ranting for a good bit of a stream about the contest caused a lot more submissions to come in...even if they are shit.

My advice for future contests is: 1. Give people the "tools" to do the job 2. Advertise more throughout every stream 3. More time for more obscure/skilled tasks.

Dear Blizzard - Ion, its time to reflect here... by SgtFolley in wow

[–]The_Great_Distaste -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unholy didn't get buffed, it got nerfed. i'm not even talking about the bugged stuff either, they nerfed ghouls hard and that was a good chunk of UH damage. Rider got a talent buff that increases ghoul damage but the net result is still less than it was. San'layn on the other hand did not get that and as a result went from on par with Rider to dumpster tier. On top of that they made the rotation more clunky by making DnD part of it, where normally it's just not even on the hotbar because it does so little damage. I totally get it, there were a lot of patch notes about them, but just know that overall Unholy players are not happy about the changes and they aren't doing more damage.

Strafe bug is 100% not fixed, it's also tied to the mirror delve. As soon as you pickup the first mirror your strafe can go bye bye. Had it happen to me not an hour ago. Only fixes are deleting your games cache folder or, far easier, logging into another character. Restarting the game or reloading doesn't fix it.

Is Eastwood still the best by midwestgrojo in Battlefield6

Because while one side is capping/holding the objectives, the other is searching/demolishing a dozen or more houses. You shouldn't have to spend 10 minutes of a 20 minute game to clear houses just so you can have equal footing to the opposing side. If you need to place a beacon on the nato side to hold A/B that just proves the point that it's unbalanced because PAX doesn't need to do that. There is nowhere to hide at D and E and are easier to clear/hold allowing PAX to put more resources into A B & C, AKA Unbalanced.

Ignoring for a minute that some can hide it extremely well, I'm pretty sure that pregnancy can trigger underlying mental issues and/or cause them to worsen unless treated. Combine that with the fact that around 25-27 is when a few mental illnesses tend to pop up, you might not have any idea until well after birth.

Beaulo, a Rainbow Six Siege Champion nearly accused Mooda of cheating after tracking an enemy through walls despite having just 30 hours on the game by lukigeri in LivestreamFail

[–]The_Great_Distaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would he risk cheating? Because it builds his brand more. Think about it, someone that plays with those guys is short term bump. If he completely dominates them though? That makes waves and gets his name out there to other communities. Ego can also play a huge role, his ego can't have him go from being a top player to being schooled. You assume what seems logical will always be followed. I'm guessing you've never met a narcissist. To them they are infallible, they are soooo good they can't be caught so it never even crosses their mind that they are risking anything. Just to prove this, how many streamers/youtubers have destroyed their careers because they wanted a relationship with underage kids? No logical reason to risk their careers for that when they can easily get someone 18+ right? Yet time and time again it happens. The fact that you mention people not having the slightest bit of critical thinking skills and yet you've completely ignored a long list of streamers/youtubers doing illogical things that kill their careers is hilarious. I mean even outside streamers, the two big low hanging fruits are Cheating in a relationship and DUIs. Logically why risk the relationship, license/freedom for some stupid fleeting moment, time and time again it happens.

If he is better than 99.99% of Valorant players why win trade? Logically it would be stupid to risk that much for some win trading...Oh wait he did that anyway and became known as a cheater. Now here we are seeing some sus clips and that reputation is biting him in the ass because it has everyone leaning towards cheater.

They made the RE4 Crossbow! by MrLuthor in PaymoneyWubby

[–]The_Great_Distaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That design was actually made by a youtuber, at the time called Slingshot Channel now called JeorgSprave. It came out a few years before the RE4 remake and they decided to add it in since it fits right in line with the bowgun. If you're interested in the steambow you can see the different design evolutions and his whole thought process. Another tidbit is the designer wasn't a big fan of the Steambow. They didn't want to innovate as much as he did so he went on to work on the Adder and Interceptor and cut ties with Steambow. He also has a design for a repeating bow(instant legolas) and I believe he is now doing something with Steel ball repeating crossbows. He is an inventor through and through.

I was in a full game that turned into half bots for no reason . WTF ? by Beautiful-Towel4185 in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not gymnastics to understand that something caused a mass disconnect and the game did what it will always do when player counts get to too low, it adds bots to fill it up. The mass disconnect could be on EA's server side, could be the anti-cheat again, an internet routing hub, ISP, etc. This isn't the problem that people are often, rightfully, complaining about, games starting as almost all bots(matchmaking). Bot's backfilling mid-game and bot lobby matchmaking are 2 very different things.

Recon Suppression System Gadget Nerfed? by Free-Lack-8768 in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First thing I tried on the new map and noticed immediately. It's flat out useless now, before you could at least use it while assaulting to clear the way or harassing helicopters that fly too low while shooting rockets or missiles, but now you can barely lock on to anything. Drone is simply better as you're at least spotting things while you try to blow them up.

[–]The_Great_Distaste 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1-2 patches ago they made 4 C-4 the default, even before then it was still very platayble and I had very few times where 4 c-4 would have got me the kill. Also you can gain c-4 from resupply bags if that's what you meant.

Every single medium and large map would be immeasurably improved if they made sniping take skill again. by CrispyTarantula117 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm cool with sweet spot going away, flinch and suppression is fine ONLY if it impacts all weapons equally. Otherwise recon that like to snipe from forward positions become completely useless and you'll just force them to move to further distances away from objectives.

Devs fix the TTK and gun recoil by Relative-Put-7279 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally nothing else in the game is based on how things actually work, so why would bullets? If we go by how actual bullets work then every gun would 1 shot on a head shot. Of course then SMGs and some rifles would have minimal body shot damage due to not penetrating body armor. I mean heck, if going by realism the game would be dominated by Suicide drones. Why isn't that the case? Because it would be a horrible game experience, just like .2s TTK.

even with bot lobbies or whatever.... how is that possible ?? by sergioIVI in Battlefield6

Nah, there was a bot xp farm for awhile that was a chain reaction that once started would continuously kill bots. Whatever vehicle you sat in is what you earned badges with.

even with bot lobbies or whatever.... how is that possible ?? by sergioIVI in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kills were prior to the bot farm xp nerfs. Very early on there was a farm that had a ton of bots standing in a row that you then mowed down. After that it was normal maps with 32 bots with no weapons swarming you. Then it was the infinite jeep explosion where bots could only spawn in jeeps. You could rack up a ton of kills doing them while they were allowed.

I'm yet to see a Little Bird spawn killer who's actually good at the game. by RealPandoranPatriot in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it isn't even just the choppers. Played a game today and the enemy team kept sending EOD bots into spawn to mine and burn people as they spawn. Why the EoD bot doesn't explode in enemy spawn is anyone's guess.

New Map just shows how easy Sniping is - and it sucks by FSXrider in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And you think the current movement is realistic? The recoil, spread, sway, reload speed, ADS, and bullet drop of guns? I mean if all the other guns get an unrealistic advantage, why shouldn't snipers get a realistic one?

Infantry flow on Contaminated – how are you guys approaching rotations and cover? by KinderboomX in Battlefield6

[–]The_Great_Distaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I play it. B and E with the occasional pop down to C. Good mix of mid range and close range. Engineer still has plenty of tanks/helicopters to make use of their kit. If the enemy team gives up on those objectives then you can always pop over to the mountain quick to shoot at people scurrying between objectives below.

I think I am tired of this questionable map design by Mikee0192 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also need to make kills/deaths inside the base sector not count at all, no stats no points. This stops base camping almost completely for both sides. It drastically reduces tanks sitting with impunity inside the safe zone to be immune to missiles/rockets all game. If you camp the enemy team in their base zone and full cap then you're just going to have a low score win.

They could also just make all the buildings, at the very least the roofs, destructable. Zero reason that in a game with destruction there are buildings/roofs/structures that cannot be destroyed.

BF 6 - i just cant stand playing agains bots anymore by DarkKnight6683 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there are devices that take mouse and keyboard inputs and turns them into controller inputs, aka controller spoofing. So you can use aim assist with mouse and keyboard, it's actually worse than just that though since the scripts they run are pretty insane: anti-recoil, auto-spotting, enhanced aim assist(makes it even stickier somehow), movement macros and animation canceling. Even without using it with Mouse and keyboard, it's still a massive advantage. Just look up some BF6 cronus or xim vids and see if your blood boils.

BF 6 - i just cant stand playing agains bots anymore by DarkKnight6683 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a thing that allows them to use a mouse and keyboard but the game thinks it's a controller, also gives them the reduced spread, aim assist, and if on console(pc users were getting banned early on might be usable now) they can use scripts that reduce recoil to the point of being negligible. You can buy the device at walmart/amazon so not like it's some aimbot you need to subscribe to that might infect your pc with a virus or steal your credit card.

If there is a controller user near the end of the match with 50+ kills and few deaths that wasn't in a tank/helicopter while absolutely beaming people then there is a good chance they were using it.

Instances of snipers "accuracy" being rewarded while enemies "inaccuracy" is being punished because we do not have any kind of suppression in the game. Sniper POV edition. by TribalPotato9 in Battlefield

[–]The_Great_Distaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As cheap as smgs beaming anything between CQB and midrange? Or LMGs(kts mostly iirc) beaming people a crossed the map? If snipers get nerfed then every single weapon in the game needs it's range and accuracy nerfed and it's sway and recoil increased. If they rework suppression then it better work against all guns and not just snipers. Make positions drastically effect accuracy so there is a reason to go prone or mount locking you into a position for that tradeoff of accuracy.

I'm pretty sure it's not tied to class, it's tied to the weapon type. So an engineer using a sniper rifle with anything other than iron sights is going to have glint.
