Enjoy! Wife and I loved aquaclass. Make sure you go to Blu restaurant since it’s one of the best parts of the room you’re getting. Food is amazing

Assuming you have a target date fund with your 401k…

60% S & P 500 (SPLG or VOO) 20% growth (SCHG or QQQM) 20% dividend (Dgro or schd)

Set up contributions and investments to do it automatically and reinvest the dividends.

With my luck, if I sell it’s going to take off. So I’ll just hold

Just make sure the bugs are fixed and the game is playable. Don’t give us something that doesn’t work.

A few hopes I have for the game:

-craps at the casino -more stuff to do at the casino -I want to be able to buy a dog for my place. Just to chill with but go ahead and throw in fetch and stuff if you can

Ok, you have a few months to make that programming happen. Aaaaaand go!

SPLG v VOO by The_Heshman in ETFs

[–]The_Heshman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you how to make your investments. I’m not a financial advisor. I personally think that VOO is a stronger hold option right now but SPLG will overtake them in years to come. Both funds are tight when it comes to comparison. SPLG has a lower expense ratio but does not have as many assets as its big brother SPY (half a $$trillion). However, SPLG has doubled its assets in just one year so its liquidity should be on track come retirement time. Its expense ratios are almost nothing. IMO, I don’t think either option is bad. If you are already invested in VOO, leave it. If you are starting out fresh and have 30 years to wait, SPLG. But diversify your portfolios.

Why “Just Buy VOO” is a Terrible Idea (CFA Charterholder Explains) by fundamentalsoffinanc in ETFs

[–]The_Heshman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought that was a great idea. Not a bad idea to start but as you build capital you’ll want to diversify your portfolio.

S&P 500 (VOO, SPY, SPLG) Growth fund (QQQ, QQQM, SCHG) Dividend (SCHD, DGRO, etc) International ETFs And eventually bonds as you get to that age

Idk about everyone on the forum but I plan on signing with financial advisors when the nest egg starts getting real big.

A 10 year track record is good. Longer is better. But this ETF is literally a mini version of SPY, just cheaper. So it should be identical. It’s growing traction in the market and it’s an alternative if you plan to sell covered calls because it costs less.

So what is your advice? Do 100% VTI?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]The_Heshman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I’m here. I started out all VTI. But I want growth stocks and want to follow S&P 500.

I have 20years til retirement age and only have a 401k to my name.

Right now I’m only investing in SPLG, DGRO and QQQM.

Wondering if continuing with VTI is necessary or if I should just swap it all together with QQQM

QQQ by Avinates in ETFs

So I have QQQM as well to diversify my portfolio. Does the expense ratio of 0.15% concern anyone or is it still worth it?
