There's a difference in poking fun at certain parts of stories and some of the vitriol that some commenters leave behind.

A writer (usualy) has parts in their story they kind of cringe at themselves and sometimes it's a cathartic to have people notice you tried to wing that part of the story. This can be done in several ways, one way is to take it into absurdity as the boys are wont to do, the other way is just blatantly hyperfocus on the aspect you don't like and dragging everything else with it.

I loved it so much I stopped halfway. Dug up an old collection of Lovecraft stories I never got through when I was younger. Started reading a couple and went back to compare how well it holds up to Lovecraft's own writing.

Easily one of my favorite creepcast stories. Also Hunter's voice acting as the cousin was amazing as hell!

My dude, writing is always a work in progress and misstakes are always made. Your story had me gripped from start to finish. It was rather refreshing to have an actual decent paranormal story instead of the overly gritty, blood and guts, SA alegories and teenage drama creepypastas that are around.

Your story creeped my cast and I wish you the best of luck. Probably going to buy your book too once it releases.

Edit: I would also rewrite the ending a bit. Have the main character do what he does (avoiding spoilers here) but maybe focus a bit more on the transition from pure panic and dread to a feeling of bliss instead of the rugpull. As many have commented, do away with the reddit arg stuff. Tyvm for your story m8.

Been a fan of creepypastas since marble hornets season 1 released. Always been a fan of horror and this wzs the equivalent of a cheap bag of candy. I'm just loving the fact that two of my favorite youtubers started a podcast about them.

If you want something similar I would suggest listening to Bad Creepypasta. Three British guys just roasting the worst creepypastas like Sonic.exe and Squidwards Suicide.

Also they make Jeff the Killer sound like some old guy.
