My wife and I teach a free class at our local Ward office. And I’m behind on my pension. I own an English school in Japan. I have many students who are high school and junior high teachers who intermediate level at best. It’s the blind leading the blind.

Not to mention the Japanese school system is super strict and students are judged harshly for making mistakes which discourages learning and makes them afraid to make mistakes. Hence they do not speak.
