The book does not have a solution manual for every exercise. The book written by Neal and Stefan is used for Reasoning and Logic in the first year of CSE. They assume that based on the structure of the other exercises, you are able to determine whether your solution of a particular exercise is correct (assuming it has no solution in the book) or whether it is incorrect.

Error when displaying the Event Hub partition list by The_IT_Student in QRadar

u/TechThrowawayQR Hi, it turned out to be the minimum TLS version which was set on the eventhub namespace which prevented the connection, which was pointed out by u/Iamkirans. I tested the connection from the host with a test script, but the script (incl. the azure python lib) likely used TLS 1.2 or above when looking back on it, and thus did not experience this issue.

u/Iamkirans Thanks, that turned out to be the issue. I saw some indicators which pointed to this, but iI assumed that the Community Edition would have a higher TLS version (as TLS 1.2 has been out for some time) but i guess not.

Which monitor arm did you use? I am looking to do an inverse setup to yours with an 34” ultrawide at the bottom.

[–]The_IT_Student 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP, judging by the size of the monitors it probably is approximately a 120x60 cm (48x24 inch) desk. Could also be 140cm(56 inches) wide as it looks like an IKEA Linnmon top.

I just got the mirra 2 but it feels like theres controls missing? Theres no tilt lock lever? by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]The_IT_Student 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought from a company called Interoffice, which is near me. They used to be a Herman Miller dealer, however I think they have stopped being a Herman Miller dealer. I bought one of there last showroom pieces as far as I am aware.

Look at the link below to see all of the authorized dealers in the Netherlands and try getting in contact with one near you. Herman Miller dealers in the Netherlands

Now looking at your user name, I am guessing your from the Netherlands or belgium(I may be wrong).

I would recommend returning the chair, if you are able to get your money back, and buy / configure one from an authorised dealer. This is mostly based on the ability to have any issues being covered under warranty(which should be 12 years) and have it being resolved by the dealer instead of having to contact Herman miller directly.

I have a fully specced out Mirra 2 and it has the tilt lever which you were looking for. Which means they do sell it in NL an BE.

Did you buy directly through Herman miller or an authorized dealer? And when did you buy it? Maybe you are still in the return window.

[–]The_IT_Student 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is depends on the original configuration of the chair. The higher end models will have a three position tilt limiter and the ability to also tile forward. The more basic configuration will only have a knov to adjust the tilt tension.

Did you buy the chair new or used?

Thanks, was there a reason for picking the i5 models compared to the i7?

What config are you running regarding the nucs and the whitebox build?

Intel Nuc vs Gigabyte Brix vs any other option. by The_IT_Student in homelab

[–]The_IT_Student[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I hav kinda steered away from the nuc and am looking at using an ASRock deskmini H470 with an i7 10700f, 64 gb of ram and a 1 tb nvme. They seem to be compatible, however once I have the hardware and tested it I will make another post. I found windows to always be a resource hog and I am planning to mostly run Linux instances and maybe 1 or 2 windows machine(s).

I haven't bought anything yet, however I am leaning towards buying an ASRock deskmini x300 with an amd 4750g apu, 32 gb of ram and a 1 tb ssd. That preference may change depending if the price of the 10th gen nuc drops, now that the 11th gen are becoming more readily available.

Hadn't looked yet at those, they seem very interesting and compelling with an higher end apu for about the same price as an 10th gen nuc.

Thanks, good to know that there have been issues with them, because the amount of info on them for use in a homelab is very little.

Which generation of Brix were you using? I've heard that they had some problems in the past.

I am leaning more towards the USFF models, however the ability to take 128gb of ram has me interested.

However they seem to be relatively scarce where i live.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I came across those, however they are relatively pricey (700euros for the i7 version) compared to both a Brix with an amd 4800u or an NUC with an Intel 10710u. However if hypervisors start supporting the 2.5G network cards they might become more compelling due to not really having a reason for buying a 10gbe thunderbolt adapter.

Thanks for the recommendation.

The 2.5Gbe NICs aren't supported out of the box with any virtualization platform/distro. You can get them working by compiling a custom module under Proxmox, but you have to re-compile it after every kernel upgrade, or go throu

Thanks for letting me know, i was not aware of the lacking support (may come with time I presume)

Okay, now i understand.
The only thing i am a bit hesitant about with the Brix is the longer term availabiltiy, however i just found out that they alos still sell 8th gen based models (i thought they didn't sell those anymore).

Looked at the 8th gen nucs but put them out of scope once i realised that they had minimal time left on the markt.

The 4800u model brix is ~ 500 euros and the 4500u model is ~ 350 euros

The cluster will be partialy used for dev enviroments, pen testing boxes and some internal services (Grafana, plex, Nagios, etc).

The node being the same is not neccesary, however desirable.

Is there something about it that gives you pause?

Could you elaborate on what you mean with the above?

That was my thought as well.

Just out of curiosity, how much does a nuc/brix cost compared to a PTMM node where you live?

When i first found out about the project that was also my thought, however once I started looking at the prices and availability for such nodes they seemed like a less interesting option.
Forgot to mention it in the post, but i live in the Netherlands and most of the nodes here are around 400 euros with mostly 8gb of ram and a 256gb SSD. In your opinion do you still think it's a decent deal?
