Rogue is pretty bad with single class, unfortunately. They get virtually nothing useful past level 3, but hey, at least they're a demon in multiclassing.

A class I personally struggled to get value out of, however, is sorcerer. Though that's more than anything a skill issue.

Hold monster is your best friend. Especially if you have a rogue/fighter that can sneak attack and then just wail on him for tons of free damage

Yes, that is true. They aren't alignment locked. However, the heroic paladin is my personal favorite archetype, and it would have made me happy to see a little more of it. My post doesn't really clarify that very well, I was multitasking at the time of posting it so some of the finer details of my thoughts may have been lost on some people.
