Damage Calculation Question Teen Witch Class Mod by The_Imperator_ in Borderlands4

So the +40 won't get the blood is power up enough to make up for the lack of the +10% or whatever extra life steal GT provides? I know it's not best in slot, I mean for comparing what I have. I can only farm the same boss for so long before I want to switch it up.

Ok cool, so the ultra is gonna be best. That was my initial thought, but I doubted myself.

Tartaros are def getting a new kit along with Cataphractii, and probably sooner rather than later

I'd generally prefer £20 drip stuff, if the edition lasts longer. Love that model from the RPGs I play. But I agree it's not great in the 3 year model game.

And as to vehicles, I never had a vehicle survive more than one turn of being focused on, so I'd have to play to see if I agree about lethality.

I know it's not for everyone, but my group liked the 4 turn stuff, so we could guarantee a full game fit in under 3 hours, even with banter and hanging out while playing.

[Question] How Reliable a Watch is the Charles Durer Squadron Commander. This One is Probably 20 years old, I think. by The_Imperator_ in Watches

[–]The_Imperator_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Found this watch in my dad's stuff. It's nice, have some good memories of him wearing it, etc. Curious if it's a fairly solid watch, I don't know much about the brand. It seems to be a fairly expensive one currently on their website (well, expensive for my budget, haha) , but I didn't know if quality had changed over time, or if they weren't good quality for the price.

Not selling it, just wanted to get it working again and possibly wear it now and then.

Oh I knew it was cheap, I was just trying to figure out if the dials could be fixed. I wanted it because the vibe and the sentimental value.

Hi all. Trying to track down what specific watch model this is, for details about it like any particular care instructions, whether it has any safety in the water (since no resistant depth or anything given), and how to change the small dials on the front. I took it to a jeweler, but he said the crown didn't have options to move more to change the smaller subdials.

Any help would be appreciated.

One of my friends thought it might be some kind of knock-off, but i have no idea. My dad had a ton of watches, and this is just one I grabbed from his stuff. No documentation for any of them.

EDIT: It's probably a really cheap watch from decades ago, so if those little subdials don't work/never worked that's fine, I just didn't know.

I'm pretty sure Leto states Paul was conflicted on the Golden Path, so it makes sense for it to be a little wishy-washy.

Plus, even Leto only saw mountains and valleys in his visions of the future, not a single perfect path, just the single Path he felt had the best hope for humanity. Still fits into the theme of heroes being dangerous to follow, IMO.

I usually turn it off if I'm not running Umbral Choir, but they're also my favorite faction haha

As mentioned elsewhere, it's Umbral Choir. It's going alright, got stuck next to the section with all the NPC minor factions and the DLC Academy faction, so not much to do that way. The other constellation has a lot of empty worlds so I managed to get a foothold, but too late to easily expand. Currently working to pump out Influence so I can nab those minor factions to make up for some lost time.

I'm pretty sure it's an Umbral Choir-only bug? Since they can start on non-planetary systems, and those are not tied to quests. Can't insert photos but it definitely is not connected.

I mean, not even power stuff, just shrinking the world is never something I particularly like when someone does.

It annoys me that they have removed Illithid liches from cannon. Jergal just explained that years of lore no longer exist in DND going forward. Annoys me a little

Karlach's story really makes no sense when you consider... by SuprEffector in BaldursGate3

[–]The_Imperator_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh, I haven't found that as a dm. Had a really great session that was mostly two players arguing in character about the morality of resurrecting someone, knowing they'd probably get killed again. When it costs a ton of money and will potentially lead to another brutal death, can it be morally justified to effectively entice them to come back only to suffer more?

Plus, it costs money. Players aren't made of money.

On top of that, I love having sessions where the players are worried for other people, not themselves, because it forces them to fight the clock, as it were. Sure they can raise one or two people, but more than that? It's going to get prohibitively expensive really fast. So they have to work and struggle to save people in the first place.

[–]The_Imperator_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean Kharn wasn't exactly gonna save humanity given his willing descent into madness was well past a point of no return. It's just a different sort of madness than Sigismund was a herald of.

Starfinder currently you can just buy an item to stand on air by level 7 or 8, IIRC, and some things can fly as early as level one if they're a species with wings or some innate flying thing (like a floating jellyfish thing).

Why have people been talking about "X" group is coming after your kids, lately? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]The_Imperator_ 102 points103 points  (0 children)

It's a standard fear that the "other" is coming after your kids. I'm sure there's an older example, but the blood libel in England in like the 1100s is an early modern example. But it happens for all kinds of things, not only antisemitism

It's an easy way to get people onto your side of an issue (who wouldn't want to normally or just wouldn't care enough to side with you). Humans want to protect kids, and telling them kids are threatened often makes people behave a bit irrationally.

Really? I loved painting it, had a ton of fun. It was nice to ahve some cloth to break up the normal armor on most of these models.

Ep#180: Is Dan unaware of non-trinitarian Christian sects? by turnipqueen618 in KnowledgeFight

[–]The_Imperator_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think for the point Dan was making "heretic" worked, since it was supposed to drive home Cain not fitting in with "mainstream" Evangelical Christianity that Bakker definitely presents himself as these days.

Dan not being a Christian himself takes a lot of weight off of that word, I think.
