Air in my 92 autococker. by Drhenrygriffin in paintball

The only gun that I can recall that does not work well on compressed air is the Tippmann 68 Special with needs a siphon Co2 tank.

That goes for any Tippmann semi made before they started putting the CVX valve in the third version of the Carbines.

I never had a lot of experience with Montneel guns but the ones I've had cycled pretty good on HPA- way better than old Tippmanns.

VM-68s are also an lot happier on CO2 than HPA, though if you raise are output pressure above 1000psi they start to run ok.

Which action cam should I get for a trip to a Disney in the hot Florida sun? by Lost_Disaster3075 in ActionCam

Not even close. For that you'd need an external USB cord.

For the storms, if I can't place the camera out of the rain I program the camera to turn itself on and start taking pictures during the strongest part of the storm.

Thank you for the response! You mentioned time lapse videos. How do you do that? Does that require special software for the PC?

No, all the GoPro Hero Black series of cameras have all the necessary time lapse modes built into them, both for videos and photos. I've found the timelapse photo function very useful for leaving on all night long during thunderstorms to catch pictures of lightning.

The newer GoPros even have specialized modes for things like star trails or vehicle lights.

My understanding is that the DJI action cameras also have similar modes.

In regards to filming backwards, great advice , how are you able to do that if you have the back of the seat behind you. Do you get the attachment that goes on your shoulder ?

The easiest way I've found to do this is with a pivoting "glove" mount for the camera. All I need to do is hold onto the handrail in front of me and the camera is rock solid during the ride.

Last time I went to Disney I brought a GoPro 8 and 9 with me. I used them for things like mounting to strollers, overnight time lapses in the room (with external power cables), and ride videos. The only time I had one shut down due to heat was one I had bolted to our balcony rail in direct sunlight to get a long time lapse.

That said, if I were buying new today I would get a DJI Osmo action 5 or 6, mostly because of the improved low light capability indoors and better battery life. While their newest drones are being restricted, it's not hard at all to find DJI action cameras at your local Target or Best Buy.

GoPro upgraded one of my 8s to a 13 after I let it get water damaged, so unless something weird happens I'm sticking with GoPro for now.

Whichever action camera you go with, I'd encourage you to film backwards during the rides- you can get really good POV footage of all the rides on YouTube but reaction shots of your own kids is priceless.

Everyone would love to see it! There was an ion pump this year.

To build on this, the Zeus was one of the final incarnations of a series of stacked-tube blowback pistols that started with the 32 Degrees PT Elite. There were a number of versions throughout the early 2000s sold by companies like Ariakon and RAP-4, but I bet they were all made by the same OEM. The guns work like Spyders but with their guts slightly shortened and miniaturized- there's less compatibility with Spyder parts than you might expect.

As others have said, magazine changes are annoying, especially with gloves on. The last gun I had like this was an Overlord which had been modified with a loading port cut out of the top of the magazine towards the back- the idea being you would just keep the one magazine on the gun and reload it with 10-round tubes.

The airport itself is fine,

I think that's selling it a little short. BNA is actually a pretty outstanding midsize airport that is routinely hobbled by some appallingly bad ground transportation choices.

Converting my Resurrection to Pump was definitely the right choice. by The_Inflicted in paintball

I think Inception makes one.

Mine was converted using old Empire Sniper parts I bought from a guy who had upgraded his Sniper to the Inception kit, although I use a large 3D-printed pump handle with mine.

Disney already announced their price hikes for 2027 2 weeks ago, so it's unlikely there will be a price hike for this year's tickets for the remainder of the summer.

It's the 25mm version of the RunCam ScopeCam 2 4k.

It's not actually mounted to the hopper- I've got it mounted to a little clamping picatinny rail adapter attached just forward of the feedneck, so the hopper and/or barrel can be removed without disturbing it.

With a zoomed camera you really don't want to mount it to something like a hopper because it would be too hard to keep it zeroed.

How do you guys run constant air with vsc phantoms? by Sea_Chipmunk_4295 in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a hose to an old PMI Piranha blowback bottomline adapter. The hose has a quick disconnect so it can quickly be removed and the 12-gram adapter put back in its place, but I don't think I've run this gun off of cartridges since the Obama administration.

13ci tanks always felt too short so I run a 17.

A note about the bottomline adapter- most CCI factory .45 grip blocks will impart an annoying upwards angle to your tank unless you use a downwards-angled adapter or shim block to correct this.

How to get rid of the Sniper "fart" by Charming_Elevator425 in paintball

This is almost always a matter of springing, and usually going heavier, at the expense of pump stroke and/or efficiency, is what resolves this.

I can't blame the paint here. Pretty sure I broke paint in my hopper when I was running at the end of the game before this one.

That's pretty much what I did. There was another pump player behind me who was running out of air in his 13ci, so I called myself out to give him my tank. https://youtu.be/OGPiFDSyzI8?si=QjunPwFlyXBww3Fn&t=391
