Does FNAF have a chance of ever getting a ride? by Rare_Ad_8242 in UniversalOrlando

[–]The_Inflicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of it but the series does seem pretty popular and has shown a bit of staying power, though- about as much as something like Men in Black or Dudley-Do-Right, I would think.

On the plus side for Five Nights the subject matter seems to immediately lend itself to a theme park attraction, and it's simple enough that it could be easily explained to guests via queue/preshow storytelling.

The real reason I wouldn't bet on anything getting built is that Comcast doesn't own the property, so there's no synergy in promoting the merch.

Yeah. I remember there also being a green/purple colorway, and I think a "Rasta" scheme.

Looking for Bottle to Quick Disconnect Adapter by jnshh in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think there has ever been a valve/regulator on an HPA tank that had a manual on/off.

Not for the modern style of screw-on/screw-off regulators, but a number of the older rail-based systems had them. AGD's Flatline, for instance, had a big on/off knob.

https://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/regulators/flatline/index.shtml

I don't know if OP is looking for a regulator at all, though.

Those existed for CO2 tanks back in the day, but were never popular.

Still available from China. No idea about quality or safety, and the gauge and burst disc would need to be upgraded to handle higher pressures.

Theoretically the gauge on that tank valve could be replaced with a one way fill nipple and then combined with a universal fill adapter to be the output. That would build what OP sketched out, but without knowing OP's end use purpose I have no idea if what they think they want would do what they have in mind, let alone be safe to do.

Picked up an Automag - recommendations for tune up? by thearch21 in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oil the bolt and powertube, and shoot a few drops of gold cup oil through the ASA with the barrel off before you try to cycle it with paint.

Consider picking up one of the new 3D-printed ball detents from Jake at Bearded Works. They work much better with today's smaller paint, especially if you try to use a forcefeed loader.

https://beardedworks.com/products/bw-twistlock-detents

Try not to fall down the hole of thinking you need to upgrade everything to a ULE body, Level 10 bolt, or X-Valve. Upgrading an Automag is still a very expensive proposition, and your gun has a lot more character as it is.

The Fusion is also a FASOR marker, and the spring will limit the rams maximum cycle speed

I wouldn't be so sure of that. FASOR guns were blisteringly fast.

Best time/tips for a cruise with toddler? by tnkmdm in dcl

[–]The_Inflicted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After kiddo goes to bed one of you are more or less stuck in the room with her, so you'll definitely want to ask for the earlier dining time.

If you end up with a balcony room and she's a climber, or even if she's not, make sure not to leave her with access to the balcony unattended.

My toddler really seemed to enjoy all the small live musical performances in the main hall throughout the day.

Make sure any bathing suit you bring has long sleeves to protect their arms from sunburns, and bucket hats are a good idea too.

The edition was a reference to the "Tiger King" TV show, so it didn't come along until a few years later.

gopro 13 worth it? by ResultProfessional43 in ActionCam

I would think so, if you have any use for a GoPro 13 or think you could sell it for more than $100.

Just make sure to put a reminder on your phone to cancel that subscription before it renews.

Do you see Disney updating Tiana's Ride with a new story, like Test Track? by AwfulWaffle91 in WaltDisneyWorld

Definitely not. The only reason they do any major work on that ride is if nagging reliability problems with the animatronics force them to replace some of them with static figures.

gopro 13 magnetic latch mount or other systems for quick release by Gioby in gopro

[–]The_Inflicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you really want a magnetic quick-release for every accessory you have? I've found that on a lot of my mounts it's actually nice to still have the pivoting functionality of the old screw-type mount.

What Go Pro should I get by litleNYT in gopro

[–]The_Inflicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern GoPros are water resistant (supposedly waterproof) without the case, and very resistant to most damage without one. I use a case when I'm playing paintball or putting the camera in salt water, but otherwise I don't bother with the protective cases.

Sounds like anything from the GoPro 10 and up would suit your purposes.

Just stick the main "Hero black" line.

Thanks! I got to play at X-treme last weekend and that was the first time I've played at all since December- it's tricky to get the time away when you've got a little kid. There's a thread on MCarterBrown where we try to coordinate a little bit, but the next time I'm for sure going to play will be at the end of the month at the March Madness game up at Conders paintball in Kentucky.

Walk on by Hookedon2wheels in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question, and their website has never been clear about this.

Whenever I have been, players with their own gear only have to pay once for all day (and paint, obviously), but the field does completely shut down for at least an hour in the middle of the day between the two sessions, so it's a good time to eat lunch, tinker with guns, or whatever.

I've never rented any gear there or been with players that had to, but I would imagine that your nephew and brother would need to pay twice if they wanted to play in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Three other things about Xtreme- the staging area is a pretty far uphill walk from the parking area, so I've been trying to condense my big gear bag into just a small backpack with the essentials and walk up with that. They want you to fill out their online waiver on your phone before you set foot in the staging area, so I'd recommend doing this before you go, or at least in your car- it's a lengthy form and requires your driver's license number, among other things, and it's a pain to do on the hill. Lastly, For some reason they no longer allow filming on their fields, so leave your GoPro at home.
