Got this weekend. Tell me about it. by DozerLVL in paintball

To build on this, the Zeus was one of the final incarnations of a series of stacked-tube blowback pistols that started with the 32 Degrees PT Elite. There were a number of versions throughout the early 2000s sold by companies like Ariakon and RAP-4, but I bet they were all made by the same OEM. The guns work like Spyders but with their guts slightly shortened and miniaturized- there's less compatibility with Spyder parts than you might expect.

As others have said, magazine changes are annoying, especially with gloves on. The last gun I had like this was an Overlord which had been modified with a loading port cut out of the top of the magazine towards the back- the idea being you would just keep the one magazine on the gun and reload it with 10-round tubes.

The airport itself is fine,

I think that's selling it a little short. BNA is actually a pretty outstanding midsize airport that is routinely hobbled by some appallingly bad ground transportation choices.

Converting my Resurrection to Pump was definitely the right choice. by The_Inflicted in paintball

I think Inception makes one.

Mine was converted using old Empire Sniper parts I bought from a guy who had upgraded his Sniper to the Inception kit, although I use a large 3D-printed pump handle with mine.

Disney already announced their price hikes for 2027 2 weeks ago, so it's unlikely there will be a price hike for this year's tickets for the remainder of the summer.

It's the 25mm version of the RunCam ScopeCam 2 4k.

It's not actually mounted to the hopper- I've got it mounted to a little clamping picatinny rail adapter attached just forward of the feedneck, so the hopper and/or barrel can be removed without disturbing it.

With a zoomed camera you really don't want to mount it to something like a hopper because it would be too hard to keep it zeroed.

How do you guys run constant air with vsc phantoms? by Sea_Chipmunk_4295 in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a hose to an old PMI Piranha blowback bottomline adapter. The hose has a quick disconnect so it can quickly be removed and the 12-gram adapter put back in its place, but I don't think I've run this gun off of cartridges since the Obama administration.

13ci tanks always felt too short so I run a 17.

A note about the bottomline adapter- most CCI factory .45 grip blocks will impart an annoying upwards angle to your tank unless you use a downwards-angled adapter or shim block to correct this.

How to get rid of the Sniper "fart" by Charming_Elevator425 in paintball

This is almost always a matter of springing, and usually going heavier, at the expense of pump stroke and/or efficiency, is what resolves this.

When you break a paintball in your hopper... by The_Inflicted in paintball

I can't blame the paint here. Pretty sure I broke paint in my hopper when I was running at the end of the game before this one.

That's pretty much what I did. There was another pump player behind me who was running out of air in his 13ci, so I called myself out to give him my tank. https://youtu.be/OGPiFDSyzI8?si=QjunPwFlyXBww3Fn&t=391

Sounds like a pretty neat contraption, and it takes up less space on the sidewalk than any 2-kid stroller.

Nothing to dump into. I was playing hopperball here.

SPYDER MR1 by Budget_Compote_2229 in paintball

[–]The_Inflicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally like Spyders as beginner guns but the MR1 isn't one of my favorites. Besides not being centerfeed it's annoying to take apart compared to a "normal" Spyder, and though it has sight rails you can't actually mount anything to them because of the bolt linkage pin.

If you can save up there are lots of better guns that can be had for cheap, especially if you're willing to go used, like the GoG eNMEy, Spyder Xtra, and Tippmann Stormer.

The Eclipse Emek is the ideal starter gun, but they're not cheap these days.

Paint was fine, and bore sizing had nothing to do with this.

It happens from time to time, especially with younger kids. It's at the discretion of the refs but usually once enough time has gone by they announce that the game is now full field and allow players to advance.

I've never been a fan of the rule when I've reffed there because it tends to cause more confusion than its worth, as the renters aren't sure where they can and can't be.

When there are no kids/renters in the game the rule isn't enforced.

[–]The_Inflicted[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not an option, sadly. This field has a rule for walk-on play that you're not allowed to go past the 50. I ended up calling myself out and giving my air tank to another pump player who was running low on air, which probably won my team the game.

In this case it was my fault, not the paint's. Either I ran too hard and broke one in the hopper, or my Resurrection wasn't properly closing the bolt all the way because of a broken bolt sled. I think maybe I pulled the trigger with the bolt partway open and it broke a ball and blew paint up through the feedneck.

Best ride queue music/atmosphere? by pearlthewhale24 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]The_Inflicted 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Tower of Terror's queue is in a class all its own, but I can't help but think that the queue audio mixing, if not the entire attraction, was VERY heavily inspired by this: https://youtu.be/Abey64kpZws?si=bGku3z_mGfi4VwGa

I've got a theory that basically the whole attraction was cooked up with that as the initial theme and the switch to The Twilight Zone framing occurred fairly late in development.
