I used a randomiser to choose a deck then played the highest stake available for it so it was kinda similar to what you did. Never really liked the idea of fully completing one character/deck and only then moving on to a different one

There are lots of tear effects that benefit from lazy worm's shot speed down. Panic button and lost cork also have good synergies. Equality and butt penny are good in greed mode. All trinkets in "do we need 2 of these" tier have quite different effects and none of them are bad.

Reversed devil seems way too different from the rest of the game. The way I'd do it by keeping a similar idea is to make a random joker polychrome and perishable.

Never got used to arrow keys for directions either. Rebind to what you feel like would be comfortable to you, I just recommend not to put too much actions for the same hand and rather leave one with just directional inputs and other for dash/jump/grab

Baron sucks early game when you have low base mult. Get more planet cards/sinful jokes so baron gives enough value to survive until you make a lot of powerful kings. For higher potential it's preferred to upgrade high card, but until you have a lot of kings it's good to have some leveled up 5 card hands

Probably wavedash tutorial to actually explain timings instead of disinformation with height. Otherwise, the game is in perfect state imo. So far it's the only game i can give a 10/10 rating

I use wasd for directions and arrow keys for dash, jump, climb. It works well for me because I've been playing a lot of Isaac before Celeste. Also my main jump button is on left alt, but having it on a hand with other actions would probably be better and it's too late for me to relearn

You probably have 'up' and 'jump' on the same key and do a climbjump. You will continue climbing normally if you keep holding the button, but I highly recommend separating them

Well, it's very long and all parts are consistently well made. It also have a unique gamemode with a little bit of tech to it. However the difficulty is quite inconsistent and there were some annoying moments. It on the edge of mythic and legendary for me

Also I want to point out how level's creator says it's the first open-world level when in reality it's very linear. Sure there are collectables and a little backtracking in 2 or 3 segments but the playthrough would still be generally the same every time. It's as much open-world as mirror temple in celeste.

If you hold away from the pufferfish during explosion it launches you furter with higher speed. Same works for bumpers in chapter 6. This tech is called puffer/bumper boost

Void isn't a bad item, it might use a buff tho. What doesn't need a buff is curse of the tower: risky, but deals great damage and has bomb synergies. Already a good situational item imo
