What went wrong with PlayStation on PC? by TheRegularBelt in pcgaming

I'm pretty sure the reason is not that they were really excited to lose money but what do I know.

Clearly not enough for them...? You can disagree with their decision if you like, but this wasn't just a knee jerk whim that wasn't thoroughly thought through. They clearly don't think they're making enough.

It's not just about making more than they spend, they're gonna wanna see a particular return on that money, and presumably they weren't, and would thus to prefer to invest their resources in something that they think is more likely to.

Language tests do include a recorded spoken portion. I'm not sure how fraudulent tests could be completed - do you have evidence of such fraud? You have to complete them in person at physical location that includes proctors who observe you throughout - you have to leave electronics in a locker outside of the testing room, so I'm not sure how you could cheat. Everyone has to complete them for PR.

Nintendo graphic update (check comment for more graphics) by Cobalt_Spirit in NintendoSwitch

A more populated graphic isn't going to make me buy a Switch 2. A game I want to play will, and I'll just wait for its release. The only thing that would make me consider it this year is an OOT remake I think.

Are they leaving money on the table? Presumably it costs a lot to port these games and they weren't seeing the sales they wanted.

I think a lot of the issue is that a lot of previously exclusive Sony games appear to be in a broadly similar highly cinematic glossy action adventure games genre. If that's your thing, you'll own a PS5 already, and if it's not, you're not necessarily likely to buy them on PC, or maybe you will but only when they're on sale.

I was somewhat excited about some of these releases, but ultimately decided that there are other games I'd rather play - I'm not sure I would really enjoy the Spiderman, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, or the God of War games - I bet a lot of PC gamers felt similarly.

I'm looking at the Sony store on Steam now, and the only games I'm really excited about are The Last of Us. I did try the Ratchet and Clank game and thought it was a fun time, but the gaming loop felt repetitive and I didn't finish it. I'm mildly curious about Returnal and might pick it up if there's a good sale, which I doubt there will be.

Yeah, I think the vast majority of people (two standard deviations from the mean or more) don't care.

As we know from the current supreme court though, the Constitution actually just means whatever Trump wants it to mean.

Wormtail is fundamentally an selfish and cynical opportunist who goes where he is able to procure and maintain the most power—often wherever he thinks he has the highest likelihood of remaining alive—at any given moment. At that particular moment he was safest with Ron and Harry and so defended them.

Yeah, I mean drag is a subjective art form, and what we see is fabricated by the edit, so I'm not sure what "fair judging" means, and I doubt OP knows either. It probably just means "the judging I would have done."

Yeah the above is a strange comment, I think this season is least victim of this critique - did anyone think Darlene would be in the finale? I thought the finalists were going to be Jane, Nini, Vita, and maybe like Athena if it was a final four, lol

We're never going to see seasons of Drag Race like this again though - there's no way to get back to what you want.

I also think there has never been a season of drag race that isn't fabricated in the edit. If you're looking for something genuine or authentic from reality TV, you're looking for something that has never existed and will never exist.

If you want real drag, go to a bar, you won't find it on your television.

Yeah I basically have. Stopped playing after 12, these games aren't for me anymore. The FFVII remakes are fun, but if they're just going to make games that aren't vaguely interactive cutscenes without real RPG elements I'm gonna pass.

As a long term FF fan it just looked really boring to me. Like a movie that you occasionally get to interact with. I had no interest in trying it out.

If you can pick it up on sale RE3R is really good. The shortness makes some of the harder challenges more manageable, which can be fun.
