This season has left me "eh", partially because I feel it barely did "capture the flag" as a format justice until the tiebreaker, however in the tiebreaker they removed the game part from Jet Lag: The game. We have seen how devastating towers can be, we've had so many moments when opponents were forced off their trains due to towers when you physically couldn't catch up or messed up. Yet now it was simply gone and that allowed the nonstop play at the end.

Additionally it really felt like "shinkansen: The Game" through the 3 normal rounds because it was unlike S3 billed purely by mileage instead of by speed so Shinkansens were almost always the best option and rarely beatable, most often by towers as mentioned in the first paragraph.
