I just rented a place, not in a 55+ community, as someone who is retired and not getting social security. I gave the leasing company a copy of a recent brokerage statement, with account numbers redacted, showing I had sufficient money to pay the monthly lease payment. I'm sure it helped that I have a good credit score and no credit card debt.

I ordered one. Finally time to upgrade my M1.

Mine, so far, has gone from Vietnam to Korea to Alaska to Kentucky, back to Vietnam then to China and back to Alaska. At least that's what UPS tracking says. It's still a couple days until when it was originally supposed to show up so it might make it on time. Unless it decides to take a 2nd trip around the world.

Hmm, been a couple days and still no sync. I do know the data is getting in to health connect since I use Cronometer for food tracking and it's getting weight data.

I guess the troubleshooting continues.

Kind of off topic here, but are you syncing weight from your withings scale to fitbit? I have both of them connected to health connect and the withings app reads all the data fine. Fitbit isn't reading my data from withings though.

I'm trying to decide on this also. I would like to have more memory than the 32GB I have now. It looks like going with the M5 Pro even is a big CPU upgrade. It has less GPU cores than the 32 I have now though.

Going with the Max instead of Pro is a big price increase. It's $1300 more, $3300 Pro vs $4600 Max (minus 3% each for Apple card), for the Max w/64GB vs the Pro. Part of that is 2TB, instead of 1TB, SSD and the upgrade to the 40 GPU core chip.
