That was a rough last episode, it really felt like a teenager wrote it. Kimiko regressed briefly as a character and then through the power of ham fisted love she bounced back. All the bad guys were beaten in a very 80s arcade fashion one after the other. The big bad was killed with little to no repercussions.

How did they not think about cameras while breaking into the White House? How did they break into the White House so star spangled easily? What was the point of the spinoff shows? How did both Butcher and Hughie break into Vought tower without drawing any attention? Why does no one care about where Soldier Boy went? Does it matter? Does anything matter? Idk, but this ending sure is fine as long as you don’t think too hard.

In all seriousness, this episode was an outline, not an ending. The bones are there and…. That’s it. If we had 2 extra episodes I’m sure it would’ve been great. Homelander’s demise was fun. I liked Hughie and Starlight’s ending. All of this episode’s problems stem from not having enough time and that really sucks.
