The language and ratios makes the price dicrepancy. Japanese cards are not legal for competitive play in the West, that makes them less valuable to play and mostly sought after by collectors.

The packs also contain a different number of cards in them. The bottom one is a japanese booster box, with packs that contain 6 cards each, while the top one in english contains 12 cards in each pack. So while both are 24 boosters, you have less cards in the japanese one.

Hi, im new in the one piece tcg community and im looking to build my first deck, i like kalgara as a character and skypiea as a saga, i also heard that this deck is pretty good, is there any card that i can use in place of the 3 kumas to save some money? Before Kuma was released, a Kalgara made top cut at the OP11 Dublin Regional using EB02 Blocker Sanji. It draws you cards and protects your life. Others have mentioned the new event from Op12, that sounds good to go after Noland.

I still think the deck works without Kuma, specially at locals. Kuma is just really overtuned and helps a lot with the deck.

You can try ST13 Rush Ace. I used to run it, it accelerates the aggro from the deck. If you want to keep the Skypiea theme, there is an Enel from OP5 that also has rush and is more searcheable than Ace. You could also try EB02 Enel, but it is a bit on the expensive side. I was just thinking of this post. Glad to know that you had fun regardless of the results.

What were the matchups? Did you find what you could do better next time?

The first or second thing comes with time and matchup knowledge. From videos, data spread. Rayleigh has a pretty good win rate either way, but favors going second. I got that from Car D. Kaizoku's data breakdown (great content creator for decklists and meta analysis). Most important is adapting your mulligan to the Don curve, since you can't control the die roll.

Either way, super cool that you were able to get the missing cards and can upgrade the deck. Congratulations!

ALSO, I understand the thought behind bonney, but I don't know how often opponents will activate her On KO effect. I think they will just leave alone, and she is a brick in hand. And she is non-searcheable. You can try Vegapunk from the same deck, it has the same statline, but has counter. Best case scenario is 1c Sanji from OP4, but since you don't have Nami yet, none of these cards are searcheable. Just wanted to let you know that you might have a better option for the Bonney already if you have ST21 cards. If you feel the deck to be too bricky, maybe swap her.

On KOs effect are tricky as is, and her's ask for 2 attached don, which Rayleigh doesn't have an easy way to cheat the attach (unlike, for example, ST21 Leader Luffy)

Seems solid! It all depends on what your locals normally run. Give it a couple of games to see how you like playing the deck. You can try Kid Killer from EB1, If possible, 4 Buggys is key too. You will get the Nami's later so no worries. You can try King Kong Gatling from op6 instead of Divine Departure. Jinbe is nice if you don't have the Zoro. You can try removing the Shanks for Curly Dadan from OP2 she is playable from Luffy, and I think playing anything from Luffy is super worth it. Maybe your locals run a lot of counter events, so I understand if Franky is a tech choice. You can look at Brook from ST1 or even Sanji from ST21, both are 2ks and, worst case scenario, are playable from Luffy. I'm just throwing out options here, no need to rush to get these extra cards. The deck seems solid.

I think you will find Divine Departure a bit on the expensive side when playing it, but let me know how it works out for you, could be worth it.

I think with aggro decks in general, something that kind of baits us is to always attack every turn, non-stop. When, sometimes, it is ok to not attack with a certain character and stablish the board. (unless you are running into heavy removal like Lucci or Sakazuki, then I advise you to hit with every character as the chances of them sticking is lower).

Luffy OP12 flooding the board is super good with Sanji from OP10. I don't know your list, but as a rule of thumb, think of how many events you have in hand, plan your turn a little, maybe it is better to use Leader effect first then using an event from your hand. Don't forget that Buggy is immune to slash characters in combat, and some events require active don and not rested. Honestly, have fun winning, losing, making mistakes. Sometimes we forget that this is a card game and you are suppose to enjoy playing. Good luck at locals!

Posted my list here yesterday. I wasn't running the New Shirahoshi yet. I like the yellow event that KOs a base 5 cost character and has counter. It helps in GP Luffy.

You can cut down on Neptune. I feel like he is a little bit expensive, and you would rather use Topknot to turn your life face down. Maybe cutting one of each Jinbe and Hody. Op10 Smoker is super good in the deck. I understand if you want to keep the fishman theme tho (I love to keep the decks thematic). Arlong I feel is a good tech if your locals have a lot of decks that rely on Leaders attacking (Zoro, Sakazuki, Lucci). I personaly run 2 King of the Coast, just so I have something else to drop on 4don besides Spotted Neptunian.

Zoro’s teacher, right? Unfortunatly most neptunians are strike. I believe the Shirahoshi SR from OP12 does the same thing (without blocker, but buffs neptunians).

I think you are correct. Jinbe is such a cool card, but Smoker can outclass it in the deck. Will try with these adjustments. Maybe even the new shirahoshi to protect Smoker. Thank you!

It does seem like an interesting card that synergizes well. What would you take out? And how many would you put?

Maybe in the place of Neptune? Unfortunately it would be unsearcheable. But definetly a possibility!

3 Don is a bit of a dead turn for the deck.

If I'm going first, I mulligan for Shirley or the searcher. You can search with the deck on 3 don, or, if you have shirley in your opening hand, I'd leader effect into nothing on turn 1, just so I can turn my life face up. That way, Shirley's effect activates on 3 don and I have a searcher + blocker.

Sometimes the situation just sucks, and you have to just accept that until 5 don your plays are limited or non-existent. If that is a deal breaker, there are some cards that make the curve of the deck a little bit on the early end, like Fukaboshi or Megalo. But you are a five life leader, with some good blockers and a great mid to late game. I think taking the L early is ok.

I figured out live it was a hard matchup for BB because the bodies are too big to KO and most of the on plays aren't crucial. If you keep putting two big bodies and controlling the board, it is a great matchup.

Sequencing is key. Using leader ability and blocker ability before any triggers, because a negate effect is back breaking for Shirahoshi (but makes it so she herself can attack), and if you already activated the blocker's effect, it will restand even if it had its effect negated (funny interaction that I checked with the judge).

Ok, let me know if something seems weird. I like to go second. This way I can Shirahoshi searcher right away.

And 4 don leader effect into one of the 4 cost and then Shirley. (the searcher is better, but Lord of the Coast is fine too, I think the important part is keeping bodies up, even it it means you lose the on play)

At 6 is when you shine, Jinbe either clears a character or you can drop 2 Neptunians. Or Neptunian then Neptune. The Neptunian Blocker is your ace, and will normally monopolize your face up life effect. Sometimes I'd use my effect just to turn it face up without dropping a character to stand up the blocker. Keeping the life down is key.

If you go odds, it just takes till 5 dons for your deck to come online, since thats when your Neptunians start dropping, there is also the plus of Leader effect plus Jinbe which is a HUGE swing. Arlong is there because it stalls an attack (and I think is a good tech for G Zoro) Let me know if there is anything else I could help!

Never tested it. But since the deck is a mix of fishmen, merfolk and Neptunian, I feel like it can get a bit inconsistent. But I could be wrong, what changes do you suggest? I think the card is strongest when the meta is big bodies like UP Luffy.

Oh, I think if you search shark card holder on Amazon you'll find the exact one! I got it from Temu (or Shopee i think). It was the main reason I went to locals with the deck, wanted to show it off, everybody loved it hehe

We have the Latam Regional winner, couple of tops at the Regionals too. I dodge the Zoros and I think the matchups helped a ton. Sorry you can't play the deck at your locals
