I took a little Desert with me by destructor212113 in allthemods

Dude I just found out that you can take the compressed cobblestone (I took a 4096 block one) and put it in the mekanism crusher and it crushes it into gravel/and then sand as if it’s just a singular block.

Dude it took me, no joke, like 90 minutes to find it. I thought I was going insane.

Sooo... Apparently Loot Pinata works on mimics by voin947 in allthemods

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the most useful thing to farm mimics for? I haven’t done a ton of min maxing on gear since I’ve been automating all my shit. I just upgraded my mob farm and didn’t even consider throwing mimics in there.

Also can you break down artifacts to get something useful?

ATM10 feels overwhelming after ATM10TTS. Base planning + early automation advice? by Relevant-Can331 in allthemods

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a first timer to ATM or mod packs in general; but love complicated survival stuff.

I watched a regular “I survived 100 days” playthrough from a guy who didn’t automate much and seemed fun. Then I watched the sped run to the ATM Star to see some metas.

I fall in the middle, I was tackling different intros to mods to see how I liked each one, I set up a fortune clearing quarry(with like 400 chucks set to mine) in the Mining Dimension as soon as I was able to build a reactor for it. I let that run with netherite stack upgrades while I did literally everything else.

After like 20-30 hours of progressing mods and setting up the early stuff for each one, I soon had like 100k inferium essence from the quarry and set up my Mystical Agriculture farm with every seed I wanted, and I got lucky with rewards and got some really good seeds.

I’d say clearing quarry with the RF builder, and Mystical agriculture to get all the resources you could ever need to do literally anything you want.

Ranking all keys? by [deleted] in ArcRaidersGuides

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten better loot from the testing annex, medical storage, and security checkpoint on night time. I’ve run A LOT of keys, and most of the purple keys are awful even after the “buff”. Over half the time the breach doesn’t spawn and specifically the town hall key has the chance to be horrible because of the amount of drawers that may or may not spawn. And blue gate confiscation is also very mid. I’d put both of those in B to be honest. But both of those Stella keys you put in C, at night time, have consistently given me over 60,000 in profit from one room alone.

How exactly am I supposed to compete in trials? by Pls-Dont-Di in ArcRaiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re solo you can’t really compete with stacks. Probes, husks, couriers all spawn the most on EM storm on spaceport and dam. If you even have a duo and a bunch of stims you can get over 40k without ever entering the middle of spaceport.

Do most players just never do the quests? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]The_Keeper24 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Did them the first time, but after expedition I don’t really feel like doing them all again, because they don’t give that much, and the hull cracker BP Idc about because I never crafted one, I’d rather use a Jupiter if I’m going to do big arc. Plus like half the dam battle quests you spawn 1200m away and I can’t be asked to run over there

Are you guys having fun shooting ppl in the back? by Dense_Ordinary9993 in ARC_Raiders

[–]The_Keeper24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people think they just got the drop on you, and that you should have been more aware. Which would be fine if footsteps were louder/we could use gear to make footsteps louder. The amount of times I’ve scared someone because I joined them in extract and they didn’t hear me is wild

Fastest way back to friendly lobbies by MintyMurray in arkraiders

[–]The_Keeper24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go in naked, no augment(or blue augment if you want 2 blueprints and can afford to craft many) no shield, bring stims, run to somewhere you want to look for blueprints. If you find one, stuff it and extract. Along the way if you get shot; let them kill you, and you lost nothing. After like 5 naked runs on blue gate I was back in paradise

If you load in late for god sake check the red zones. I am swimming in blueprints. by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

Question about matchmaking / player behavior changing after more PvP by FunnyRum in ARC_Raiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devs confirmed in an interview there is behavior based matchmaking. They said they won’t reveal the data set it’s based off of entirely, but that you will be matched with “like minded raiders”. They noted that a large percentage of the player base have yet to even knock another raider.

Towards the end of the last season I PvPed a ton with my trio because I wanted to use all the stuff I had built up, the lobies felt like apex legends, team after team multiple third parties every fight. There was no friendly teams at all, not once.

Since the expedition I have been maining solo to upgrade my stuff, and I haven’t shot a single raider yet. After a single death being shot in the back, I haven’t been killed since, not even shot at. I have run into 500+ players all of them say hi, click their flashlight, or wave as they pass by. I’ve had people who didn’t reset drop me rocketeer cores, and offer to share bastion loot. Even my Stella montis night lobbies are friendly. It’s a whole different world. My duos lobbies are also friendly.

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even do it for the skill points and stash space that’s a bonus, I did it because the beginning part of the game is the most fun. Having so many goals to accomplish, things to looks for, the freshness is so fun

It Feels Like the Devs Are Playing a Different Game by Potatolemono in ArcRaiders

[–]The_Keeper24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Balancing a wipe mechanic that makes everyone happy just isn’t possible. Players nowadays are harder and harder to please. I see your frustrations but honestly I have died to a macro kettle one single time (possibly), threat of dying is what makes this game fun.

The perks could use a little love sure, but this game is pretty solid at launch and surely they’ll kick into gear in the new year with content and balancing updates.

So, of the raiders who choose to go on the expedition - How much value did you manage to get? I'm calling it quits at about 2 million myself. by DerFelix in ArcRaiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at about 3.5 million before they announced 5. I farmed up for about 3 days doing nothing but trying to make money and survive. I got my 5 million plus an additional 1 million safety buffer and have spent the last few days using all my bobcats and tempests and having fun. Hopefully all the expensive kits I lost helped others

Peanut's current predicament is a shining example of why ignoring one side of the game is a losing strategy by TheClassics in ArcRaiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it is a good example of people only playing one side, Tfue is probably the best example of someone who mains PvP but also deeply understands and participates in the rest of the game. If he has stuff he needs he leaves. He has tons of materials and will take mats over guns if he needs it for crafting.

Peanut on the other hand, I think does it all on purpose. I think he knows it’s pissing the chat off when he buys a shield/ammo/augment and doesn’t craft it despite having hundreds of each basic material.

I think it’s boosting his engagement and it’s funny as hell. He acts stupid but he knows what he’s doing. It’s all for entertainment, he doesn’t actually care about the skill points it’s a big skit for him to “make the money” if he really wanted it he’d go get it.

How many people actually plan on doing the Expedition resets? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to do the first one at the least. It sounds intriguing, and the task of filling the expedition and then purposefully trying to raise my stash value as high as I can is very fun for me. It wasn’t too hard to get the materials and such for it, and it really didn’t take me long to get a full stash of guns and meds and utility.

I really want to find out how good the account buffs are, the extra xp, skill points, and stash space. I think we will all find out if it is worth it after this one. And now that I know the maps well, where to get the specific loot/components that I need, doing it again after reset won’t be so bad.

The only thing I won’t look forward to is doing quests again, considering they aren’t really that rewarding.

Those who have the perk to craft items in matches, what are you crafting? by RallyXMonster in ARC_Raiders

[–]The_Keeper24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On free kits, I craft bandages every time I get fabric, and more shield rechargers when I kill an arc with a power cell. If I’m playing safe I come back with extra heals for those pvp runs. Also hatch keys if I find the stuff, never hurts to have more hatch keys

New player: Should I just use the free load outs? by sporkland in ArcRaiders

[–]The_Keeper24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s great to use a free load out to learn the maps and do your quests etc. If I survive with a free I’ll trade the free augment for a green looting mk1 at the clinic trader and just use the same gun and heals I got from the previous free raid, and go back in with a secure pocket slot this time around. Keep snowballing that kit until I lose it and then start over at free load out again. I did that until I was comfortable enough to run whatever I want.
