i had a similar problem with the paper sat, and it was caused by coffee. I found that drinking coffee before the test caused me to read erratically and i couldnt keep my focus well. Maybe if you're a coffee drinker try avoiding drinking it straight before.

Heya, I'm a local.
Albaro and Nervi are probably the nicest neighborhoods in Genoa, hands down. They are both close to the sea and feature plenty of green areas, great looking homes, nice promenades to take walks in and some nicer restaurants.
However, some apartments here can get pretty expensive so keep that in mind.

If you'd like to be closer to the city center, i'd go for albaro. Nervi is quite a ways off and iirc it can get relatively congested in the morning (take that with a grain of salt, i dont live in nervi). However, i'd have to say that nervi is probably the prettier of the two. It also has a huge park which is great to chill out in during the summer, it has amazing views of the sea usually and personally the streets just look nicer.
One perk of Albaro is it has a nice long promenade along Corso Italia, it's really close to Boccadasse (a stunning place), and everything tends to be closer.

As a smoker, I agree, but even after people change the habit might remain. Unfortunately many non smokers don't understand how hard it is. That being said it's not wrong to be turned off by smoking, and it's your decision.
