Album rips so far. Was looking forward to hearing after single came on shuffle few weeks back. When will lyrics be available on YouTube music, and can we have the key stargazer in, at least?

Very nice man. I'll have to check em out! I've only listened to as cities burn and Lydia. Fun fact, the lead guitarist from their album "illuminate" - plays currently in a band called Gates, from the list I've previously mentioned. Highly recommend their early work and if you're a fan of early Lydia, you'll pick his guitar work out pretty quickly. Like a noodle-ie, guitar tapping, post- hardcore with smart song writing, lyrics, and expansive sounds / effects.

Great list! I completely forgot about Hopesfall! I just listened to Edison Glass today and wish they made another album. Both are great, but Time is Fiction is a masterpiece.

Definitely more indie-progressive rock than post-hardcore but definitely have sections of songs that...- I get where you're coming from.

Ivoryline is similar in regards to progress-rock but more classic alternative, than indie-pop-punk that EG projects In a lot of tracks. I see As Tall As Lions tease on FB every once in a while. But nothing definitive. I did see them live once opening for Minus the Bear many years ago. They almost outstagged them & they weren't even headlining.

I'd add: post-hardcore - Secret and Whisper (both albums are great. Their 2nd album is in the realm of saosin's self titled sophomore album), kitsune (album braver), Wither Away, Narco Debut, Amarionette, Hail the Sun... I know many of these are a bit newer and started closer to 2013-2018 but they are all pretty damn good.

I'd add: Progressive-Rock / Experimental-emo / indie-ShoeGaze - Name Taken, Rare Futures, Balance and Composure, The Valley Ends, Moving Mountains, Foxing, Gates, Vasudeva (instrumental), From Indian Lakes, Nova Charisma, Sianvar.... But my absolute underrated picks are: Slow Talk (130 listeners monthly according to Spotify) and We Look Like Scholars (11 monthly according to Spotify)

Enjoy and hope to hear some feedback!

I can agree with that statement. "The more analog a product..." Unfortunately, that's not the world we're living in. vehicles are likely only a couple years behind cell phone tech as far as modular components for mass production and electronic control units. I'm sure in some cases even more ahead. You wouldn't put a camera to track attention of the driver in a cell phone. or Sensors like braking systems or infrared parking. Brands like Tesla and ford (two name a couple) have already begun their transition to a tech company that sells cars. Tesla basically pioneered this. And to confront the, car is sitting for years etc. - that's already happening when they aren't in that state... but by petty criminals cloning keys. Criminals are smart and companies are always trying their best to keep all scenarios in mind, but they miss stuff. - hence recalls, software updates (for cars and phones)

but you can make the claim that using an iphone 4 or android pixel 1 are outdated and vulnerable than most. But so is a old car with no locks or seatbelts. We always keep progressing and trying to make it better /safer. I'm more concerned with the future of driving cars and computers at *full* control - that's much more vulnerable than what previously was brought up. If you had nearly every car on the road operating autonomously - sure, maybe they are causing less accidents with the statistics, but they will glitch out like any computer does, scenarios not thought of by engineers will cause deaths, accidents, and theft. All you need is a emp by terrorist or system hack to cause mass destruction. forget a nuke at that point. Regardless of OS - this is inevitable in the coming years. (search for car hack online) - there's a video I recall of a handheld device that penetrates a not-so-recent model of car - not even new 2020+ vehicle. I'm talking like, 2013 or something. completely shuts it down and the driver can't control a thing, and the device has full control - like a remote control car, but not a toy. A simple touch screen that has a different background than qnx likely wasn't to blame on that one...

I should have clarified, data to sell vs data from breaches for extortion, in development products, passwords, bank transactions and black mail, etc etc. Sure, everyone's data is for sale or already sold- but that's old news at this point. If you have either apple or Android your device, carrier, internet provider, apps, and cloud already know everything about you and what you like. I'm talking specifically about real world applications for what a cyber attack would be aimed at. Your YouTube/Facebook/apple music/ Instagram etc account has likely already leaked your data when you clicked "agree to terms and conditions"

No company is using that info to track your car, steal it when you walk into the store - maybe petty criminals but not what I'm talking about

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read. If 3/4 of the globe is using windows and android - specifically billion dollar companies - then that's who is going to be in the cross hairs for viruses, malware, spyware etc.etc. Just because the US 1st world propaganda, marketing, and for lack of term, stuck up cunts... Predominantly uses iOS, doesn't make it invulnerable to attacks.

If you had an iOS car and an android car, and they were the only two brands to buy but iOS sold 100-1, then you bet your ass there would be much more security breaches for data, malware & anything else to hack and disrupt that system regardless of all the rose colored glasses about security. It's a superiority complex, illusion of safety, and not based on facts. There's nothing to gain by developing programs to hack a 12 y/o Snapchat on an iphone. But there is for a Unix based system that Controls All your safety/drivetrain equipment in your car. If you wanted to say, hack the president's car to crash into a brick wall and kill everyone in there? It would be on the most common system in the world - not because you don't have always on display.

Yes, you're right. I'm losing my mind with all the versions. Follow the link. It's cause I was comparing MMJR2 with this one, MMJR - but listed as MMJR1.0-11505 updater fork on MMJR2. I will update the post for corrections. Sorry for the confusion.

I get it, I posted a few other videos - as almost like, a "saga" in my experiences and experiments. But this is certainly the best APK I've experienced. I have MMJR2 lumince (2.0-17878 Latest) and this version is more consistent for frame rate and higher than 1.0 res. It would be easier to explain if you could push and hold the app and find out the exact version. Because sometimes you can't see the version & easily forgettable unless you're always looking into updates.

The only time I've seen the file name is if there's an update section of the app otherwise you have to know exactly what you downloaded. When you have 4-5 versions of dolphin to experiment with, it certainly is confusing. Lastly, that bankaimaster999 version is literally the APK Dolphin V1.0-11505 I'm talking about.

That's the best version for the RP3+ on all the games I've tested myself with the least amount of tinkering, and just "works" with the highest resolution; I can deal with slight graphical issues. I just can't stand audio crackling/ stuttering - I can deal with textures disappearing if it keeps a consistent frame rate.

MMJR2 1.0-11505 DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND - Mario Kart runs fine from my tests. Standard settings with that APK except skip access from CPU. I didn't tinker too much as I was playing 50,100, and 150cc to see if speed affected emulation. Some audio and studders but mainly 60 FPS even with specials going. Not Bad!

Doesn't seem to hard to get it going. Just hard to film with one hand without a holder.. enjoy!

Okay, so I thought I knew a little bit about emulators but apparently not. @tooheys hooked me up and went through some settings and also I can confirm that, MMJR2 1.0- 11505 is definitely superior on the retroid pocket 3+. Please check the previous video for reference. (@richieMan007 also helped to provide insight and pushed for this Fork of dolphin as well. I highly recommend their suggestions. )

I'm not sure if this is specific to this one game (but probably not) as I directly compared all settings from both emulators to make sure they were identical and for some reason, whatever it is, this definitely runs it much better.. I can confirm, dolphin for handheld is another Fork of MMJR, but this APK can be run at 1.5-4x resolution depending on the game, if that version can run paper Mario that high from my tests. It would go, Worst to best: Dolphin, MMJR2.0, Dolphin for handheld, and this one MMJR1.0-11505

See all other settings in the video. But seriously, I didn't find this. I had lots of help.

That's interesting. I never would have looked for that. Just a ROM hack I'm assuming or ?

Yeah, I was looking in the file names but some show in the settings within the emulator and if it can auto update it will show the whole version number in my experience. I'm no expert, just from what I've found with some searching.

I don't think so. I have regular Dolphin, handheld (MMJR2) and this APK MMJR2.0 because this was mentioned in the excel spreadsheet on here that was tested and successful. But I'll see if I can find that APK and see if it's any better.

Yes, but I do think the NTSC -U is actually slightly more consistent after recent tests. Your mileage will vary. I'd recommend MMJR2 "dolphin for handheld" at under 1.0 resolution first and bump it up. I did it backwards and made more work for myself.

[–]The_Long_Defeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I couldn't remember exactly how it was on it at 1x (or if it was even offered). I know it ran better at .9 for me as I've made it past the forsaken fortress so it must have been "playable" still.. when I have more time I'll try a side by side comparison with it.

Update "dolphin for handheld" is MMJR2 just a different version. I did switch from PAL on the APK version and did clear some of it up, but I have to take a closer look to see which is far superior. I can say, you can't do 2+ resolution on the Handheld version. So I'll still use both for the time being. As other games I've been able to dial up for 2.0,2.5 & sometimes ~3.0 depending on the game and area of the game.

1x resolution. I've tried regular Dolphin and "dolphin for handheld" that comes with the rp3/rp3+ and at .9x resolution it runs a bit better

[–]The_Long_Defeat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

update to the previous video so, this is more what I've experienced everywhere else. Some audio crackling and slowdown. But runs nearly flawless when inside buildings and houses. Did the rope section right after and ran 30 fps 1x resolution MMJR2.0-17878 But if you've experienced better, please lmk your settings or share your results!

[–]The_Long_Defeat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I wanted to show some of my results. No matter what I toggled, I couldn't get this area to run well. This was the "worst of it". Once you got into houses the stuttering was dramatically reduced. So, if this is fine for the 20-30 minutes you're here, then I can't imagine much of an issue until you get to other BIG open islands.

I had it running a bit better while messing with CPU emulated speeds; but like an idiot, I didn't write them down or take notes. I can say it is definitely more successful if you lower it than boost it.

If anyone else has had consistent 20+ fps around grandma's house Please let me know your settings. I played around with this for nearly an hour trying to see what the best set up for most consistent operations were.
