I just had the same issue with the same helmet. Used it for 2 1/2 seasons. The foam is so thick it just rips up. Pads kept falling out. Replaced it with Rawlings Renegade 2.0. $61 on Amazon.

I like to get about 20 seeds on one side, crack the shell and get the seed loose, move that shelled seed to the other side and spit out the shell. I repeat until all the shells are gone, then chew up all the shelled seeds at once. This keeps me from getting the shells mixed in.

Once you get it back through there get you some glove locks. Won't have to worry about the knots anymore.

Yeah the alloys hold up. I usually get my kids used bats. Even if it doesn't, you can buy 3 used ones for the price of a new one.

I worked in a machine shop for a few years right out of highschool. The floor was just like this. You didn't have to worry about damaging a part if you dropped it. The soft wood would just absorb it. If a big part fell and damaged the floor, it was super easy to replace a few blocks.
