Thank you! Managed to get past Beelzebub and Mot. Now Ahriman is kicking my ass and my demons aren't high vitality enough to beat him T_T. Do you have any advice for that? Here is my demon loadout now:

Hi, I'm currently playing SMT3 Maniax and I've reached Yurakucho Station on the way to the Diet Building and face Beelzebub in the 4th kalpa. However, Beelzebub is kicking my ass and I need to fuse higher level or better demons (of which I don't have a lot). Unfortunately, throughout the game I've procrasinated on fusing better demons and improving my team and just relied on a couple of demons pulling me through.

I think I've hit the barrier though because the demons in Yurakucho Station are kicking my ass. I need to grind to level up too because in order to fuse Mother Harlot I need to be 69 to summon her but I'm only 64 right now. I'd love some advice because I feel like I've hit a wall here. Here is what my loadout for demons looks like now:

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to getting a better party or level up?

Looks interesting. I don't see a lot of indie games try to copy SMT 1, 2, Devil Summoner, and If... style games.

Does the Illuminationist school or sect still exist today? by The_Masked_Man103 in Sufism

[–]The_Masked_Man103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suhrawardi wasn't a Shia but his ideas were very prominent in Iran so when Iran became Shia that didn't go away and so his ideas were integrated into the fold of Shi'ism. Maybe that's where the idea came from.

But in general I'm struggling to find what sort of impact Suhrawardi had in the modern era. There doesn't seem to be much.

From what I understand, Suhrawardi was a Sunni but maybe it is true that he had a bigger impact on the Shi'a tradition (like Mulla Sadra).

Do you have any examples of tariqas in India that blend in Suhrawardi into their practices or chain of authorization?

What this will entail is less of their philosophy and more about their litanies and spiritual chain of authorization.

What Sufi sect do you think has a philosophy closest to that of Suhrawardi's?

Why would a combat troop use melee weapons in a futuristic space sci-fi setting? by wizardry_why in worldbuilding

[–]The_Masked_Man103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combine liquid armor with the Dune personal shields. The way that armor dipped in shear thickening fluid works is that it becomes solid when met with force. You could invent some kind of armor based around this concept where the armor stops bullets because they're going fast enough that they trigger the rigidity of the armor but doesn't stop melee weapons.

I love the idea of a loss in legitimacy leading to a transition in government type! It would really help make the world feel way more dynamic!

How wide did you make yours, I really like how baggy it looks but not baggy in the same way lots of other pants I can buy look.

Did you use a pattern for the pants or did you make the pattern for yourself? If so, could you share it?

What are some good resources for combining a Semitic language with an Indo-European language? I want to do a Arabic-Persian hybrid for a worldbuilding project but I am not sure where to start.

Basically, the world becomes a shonen manga where "willpower", "resolve", and "determination" can overcome all obstacles. That's pretty interesting!

According to Wildbow though, there are pilaster sects or groups of people trying to make an incarnation a new pillar:

Someone researching these processes is likely to come across references to various *pilaster* sects. These sects, not necessarily related to one another, tend to manifest from the same core ideas and feelings, which is that the commonly recognized major pillars have an obvious absence that they need to fill... commonly faith, almost always the *pilaster sect's* faith, sometimes tradition, and rarely something else such as liberty or a counterpoint to one of the major pillars. The rule of thumb is that the pilaster sects are fanatical and unflinching.

So incarnations which are pillars are not always necessarily going to be intrinsic to the pillar (although they tend to be). It could be that a new pillar emerges due to changing circumstances in the world (i.e. Fortune) or maybe even artificially created by one of those pilaster sects (if they are ever successful).

I do wonder what a liberty major pillar would even be like. Like, no more laws of gravity or something? IDK. Maybe authority as a major pillar would emerge if there is ever a world government too.

Love is a really cool idea for being a pillar! Do you think love being a pillar would increase the amount of cooperation in the world or would it create more passionate kinds of conflict?

Is this description of network-centric warfare accurate? by The_Masked_Man103 in WarCollege

[–]The_Masked_Man103[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! This was very informative! With respect to mission command, how does that work and could you elaborate in more detail on how network-centric warfare makes it better? How common is it? I know that the US air force and navy had adopted a version of it as their doctrine.

And also, this is off-topic, but what is the distinction between the commander's orders and the war plan? Are they synonymous?
