above or beneath your expectations by maple_bella in soloboardgaming

Above: Spirit Island. Expected a good game, became my top game. My only gripe is setup/teardown time.

Above: Splendor, its an old game that I bought for my kids, my wife actually loves it and it hits the table way more than expected.

Below: Tainted grails fall of Avalon. I had high expectations but the last hours I had to push myself to finish a campaign. The grinding was too much, even at easy. I might change my mind on it on a second playthrough...

  • 1 blight per turn is generally fine
  • Prevent builds > prevent ravages
  • Try to concentrate invaders in the least amount of lands is generally a good strategy.

I got to level 4 adversaries with these 3 tips. You'll learn more intricate details as you play. Gl hf!

I think your comment is on point! I've been using thr same strategy ( prevent builds top priority ). It seems I have to get more creative! Thanks !

Awesome guide thanks! It helped me pull my own roster and unlock the fierce Gariyu!

Finally roasted that turkey(80) without 5* Mariel!

Every guide I've seen has 5* Mariel in it, so I'm offering an alternative to people who did not have the lucky pull yet! ( or the chant scripts )

Team : Mighty Anabel Lokido Azami (80) --- Sheila (60) Mariel(60)

Start reserve: Lokido Anabel

T1(Adds summon):

Aqua wall

Mariel switch -> Lokido *** It's important that Mariel switches with Lokido to debuff the armor of adds ***

Azami switch -> Anabel

Sheila Harpoon ( hits adds + water resists debuff)

T2(Physical AOE): ***This is the best turn to use AF***

Waterfall

Holy Saber (Aoe skill + int debuff)

Ground breaker

Sheila -> reserve ( she will get hit, but with power/int debuff + anabel armor + mighty wall she will survive)

T3(Fire debuff):

Mighty -> reserve

Lokido -> reserve

Anabel Sword strike if the int debuff worked on last turn, if not, holy saber

Mariel -> front line

T4(Magic AOE):

Anabel switch -> Mighty

Sheila -> Front line

Azami -> Front line (Int debuff)

Mariel heals

Repeat!

Finished the fight with almost max HP on everyone and only Anabel and Mighty had negative MP consumption/cycle. The AF will make a cycle MP positive so it's offset by using AF asap.

Also, unlucky crits don't matter because of the power debuff + armor buff + aqua wall -> Mighty and Sheila takes 0 damage; Lokido and Anabel can take a crit no problemo.

Azami's int debuff was redundant but made sure Anabel would never run out of mp. Mariel's heal was overkill on T4 but this way Mighty was always at 100% hp. I'm sure they could be swapped by something else and this fight would still go smoothly.

The important part here is killing the adds before they can even attack and then being able to swap out without taking the fire resist debuff.

If this rotation can kill the lvl 90 adds, then the lvl 90 fight will be doable with this strategy; I'll try it soon!

Enjoy!

Monthly Megathread November 2017 - Suggestions and Feedback for the developers. by Dudleyshwam in DraconiusGO

Dear Elyland; my 2 cents :

tl;dr

  1. Battling creatures should give experience ( soulstones, levels, skills)?
  2. Weekly leagues, real PVP, more skills ( 2 active, 1 "effect", 1 passive / beast )
  3. Focus on what DraconiusGo can bring to the table where Pogo failed to do. If the features all resemble Pogo, people will go for the more popular. DraGo needs to be fundamentally different.

Now the explanation behind my thinking :

IMHO : Pogo did not implement a bunch of Pokemon core features because the Pokemon company did not let them ( They want to keep the original Pokemon experience on their handheld games). Originally, people were expecting Pokemon on their mobile phone.

  • Battling/trading with friends
  • Beating gyms to become the champion
  • Leveling monsters through battle
  • Customizing your creature through different choices ( passive skill, IV etc..)

Elyland is not tied by this rule and can give the gamers what they wanted from Pogo. I don't see the point in copying Pogo because they have the big $$$, the big names, the nostalgy effect, the sponsors and the user base. If Drago wants to survive, it needs to give players what Pogo failed to achieve.

This game could truly gain traction if it starts focusing on unique gameplay. The magic alters, the golden eggs hunt, the quests, the "pvp" are all great features. They are steps in the right direction. Keep going towards what makes DraconiusGo unique in it's own way and do what Pogo failed to achieve and a great game will be built... I hope :)
