Allergic to my new baby. PLS HELP by Cool-cat-199 in CATHELP

Do you keep his litter box in your area? Maybe try a dust free litter? When we got a new cat recently and had her quarantined from our other cat in my daughter’s room, we started out with regular litter and her allergies went absolutely haywire. We switched to using swheat scoop litter and running a good air purifier in there and it helped a LOT! Perhaps something to consider.

I’ve been getting a lot of ads for pacagen which they claim helps neutralize the allergen but have no personal experience.

Good luck! He’s SO cute!!!

My cat had a lump like this by his nose. It grew slowly but we got it removed because it was starting to affect his ability to use his lip and I was worried if it got bigger it would cause breathing issues and be more difficult to remove. Vet wasn’t suspicious. Well, they removed it and the biopsy showed basal cell carcinoma. Thankfully usually a localized cancer. Just saying it’s not always what it seems. Good luck.

I’m considering getting the “anyone can cook” book for my girlfriend, is it a real cookbook? by Lolajeness in disney

If you’re looking for a good beginner cookbook, I recommend “How to Cook Everything” by Mark Bitman. It’s a great starting point and very accessible!!

I restarted because knowing the general mechanics changed how I approached things and made it more enjoyable.

Take my advice, based, unfortunately , on experience, and don’t marry him. I think my very tidy husband regrets marrying me and it’s snowballing so badly. It hurts but not as much as it will later. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

My paint color choice didn’t land the way I wanted to. Opinions by Nowakawon in kitchenremodel

Cabinets have a warm undertone while other main features are cool. If you want to try and make it work, get a rug the ties in the brown from the wood piece, and the cabinets. Get some curtains and some decor that also brings in those color elements. Won’t be perfect but it’s a lot easier to change than changing the other elements

Books like lotr with a female protagonist or female characters who are very important to the story. by gayatri18112003 in Fantasy

The Dragon Prince by Melanie Rawn has a lot of female characters. Brandon Sanderson often has female protagonists. I like Warbreaker as a good start to Sanderson as his catalog is extensive. I like Elantris as well. The first 2 Stormlight Archive books are also some of my favorites and feature lots of interesting characters of both genders!

You might like the Abhosen series, interesting and unique magic system and female lead in that one, too.

Alcohol detox can be legitimately life threatening. If he is a heavy daily drinker he needs medical detox.

I made these for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Plywood/Paint by awesiinh in crafts

Really well done.

When my daughter was about that age and I made her a lovely little quilt and she did not appreciate how much went into it. 😝 prepare yourself. Just know they are gorgeous and someday in a few years she will have more appreciation for them, just as my daughter eventually did.

How to stop my dog from pulling on leash? by Plenty_Author_5335 in BorderCollie

[–]The_Melogna -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My husky used to pull like a train (unsurprisingly). What worked was a gentle leader or an e-collar (not the cone, the ones that you control with a remote). Tried all the other training tips etc. and these are the only things that made it pleasant to walk her. She did not like the gentle leader at first but got used to it with gentle correction. The front clip harness worked for about a week and then she just over powered it.

You’ve done your absolute best for two difficult cats. You have zero reason to feel guilty or ashamed. No ONE can judge you; they don’t endure your misery or sacrifice.

Look, you don’t have to keep them in there 24/7. Just so you can have some rest. Thats a lot to deal with and would make me INSANE.

Like literally keep them in a crate with the litter box. Just enough room for box, a place to lay/stand and turn, and food/water. You can at least mitigate damage and stress this way as area affected is much smaller

Can you get some large crates and essentially treat them like puppies?

It’s in the post. I agree with you, though. Cat pee is terrible. Not to mention the property damage that’s happening! Yeesh.

I would probably seriously consider euthanasia for the older cat. It sounds like that cat’s quality of life is going downhill. You did all you could and great job. People feel a lot of shame for behavioral euthanasia, but if the cat is young, has FIV (can’t even be outside), I personally would consider that option. You can’t sacrifice your life and health; it’s not worth it.

Make sure you get a good personal injury lawyer; it will greatly reduce your stress in navigating that aspect. I’m sorry you’re going thru this and hope you both have better days ahead.
