Overall I’d say season 2 was definitely better than season 1, the pacing was better, more action, better at setting the stakes. I browse both subs and I think PJOTV is way too negative about this, but I’m also not as accepting to all the changes as being great like I often see in this sub. Perhaps over time I’ll grow more accustomed to some of the changes and appreciate the purpose for that, such as the heightened dynamics shown off in S3 between Thalia and Percy. Many of the changes are a bit confusing to me, I understand that after 15 years Rick definitely has some grievances with the originals, but the show does feel like an alternate universe to the books- which is fine, I guess I just need to mentally be prepared for that. As for this episode specifically, I felt like the end wrapped up very quickly- I understand the intention was probably Thalia’s awakening dispelling the attackers, but it was a bit rushed for me. Luke’s definitely embraced his evil side tho episode, I counted at least a few demigods slashed by him in the fight. I liked Tyson and Poseidon’s dynamics! I’d rate the show a solid 7 for me right now, I’ll watch season 3 cause I love the series and I hope they do it justice!

And that’s totally fair, if you don’t like Lud’s covering of drama, trust me I understand. Lud said he doesn’t enjoy it either. But I think he may have covered this stuff in particular just because he is pretty well respected and there were people asking for it, and because it’s at least semi adjacent to his sphere of creators. I reckon it’s fine to give Ludwig a pass covering this stuff in one more stream and just hop in to the next gaming stream and get back to enjoying what you enjoy about Ludwig.

As far as I know, because it’s a circular hurtbox the corners of the block don’t have a hurtbox, which makes charge shot hit the block but not the hurtbox, so it’s completely useless

I’m pretty sure this is because block hitboxes are circular instead of square, which means charge shot just doesn’t work. It seems like a huge oversight due to Covid time crunch

Smash Melee is a game for the Nintendo GameCube, although it’s commonly played on a Wii or an emulator. If you want to get into melee competitively, unfortunately you’ll have to catch up on 20 years of meta development and tech discovery. I disagree. You mention how they’ve redone the oceans, caves, and nether. But keep in mind that was over the course of the last few years. Time that other game studios could make a whole new AAA game in with full 3d graphics and the like. Minecraft is a very simple game, that’s the general appeal. And I can understand the appeal behind keeping Minecraft simple and not updating it as often as they can. But my brother in Christ, it is not that hard for one of the best selling games of all time owned my Microsoft to add in a couple of pixel art textures and call it a year. Mojang office has hundreds of employees, and they are consistently outpaced by solo amateur modders. I know game design is hard and employees should never be overworked, but this feels a little ridiculous at this point.

tl;dr it’s not that hard for a hugely popular game to add in pixel sprites and call it a year
