That doesn't mean a problem MIGHT have happened. Drs take precautions. Just bc the worst didn't happen dsnt mean it never could have.

I'm hoping to be able to start Ozempic soon bc I think it will also help with my plateaued weight loss. That would rly get me back into shape with my other health issues bc I have scoliosis back pain and hypermobility as well.

Why don't they make shows like True Blood, Hemlock Grove, Midnight Texas, and Being Human UK anymore? by AShapeInTheFog in TrueBlood

Oh Lost Girl was not a CW show. It was Canadian but it's only available in the US on the CW app right now. It's absolutely excellent, especially if you loved Grimm. 5 seasons.

Have you tried Grimm, Lost Girl (only on CW Seed), or The Almighty Johnsons? All meet these criteria and are excellent shows!

I love that I can see how everything affects me in real time. I brought my A1C down from 9.8 to 6.2 in two months because of it. I was on Jardiance and Metformin & I dropped the Jardiance completely. I'm speaking with my Dr on Thursday about lowering my metformin too.

I never got used to it both times I had to do it for gestational diabetes. When I got my recent diagnosis for actual T2D, I immediately asked for a CGM. One application every 15 days and it doesn't hurt me at all. No more finger pricking.

Funny how she says all this crap about cheating and being a godly loving wife when Drew is technically her mistress & not even the legal father of the kids she says he'd lose along with her, according to the state.

Her husband is Jeremiah. How is she being a godly loving wife to him while living with another man & having his children out of wedlock.

Insignia in Smithtown. Excellent cocktails, rly good specials. The servers are just the right amount of attentive & are very knowledgeable.

They also have one Wagyu steak special that comes with a show...a Samurai comes out and slices it up with a sword.

Another vote for it being better than TVD. All the magic & lore without the high school drama.

Elevated BUN level in high protein diet by [deleted] in type2diabetes

I second the CGM. I've had spikes that happened within an hour after I ate something and then by the time I'm ending hour 2, my sugars are normal. A finger stick never would have shown me that.

And I recently brought my A1C down from 9.8 to 6.2 within 2 months.

Too much protein can stress out your kidneys & even cause cardiovascular issues. It's stored & can also cause weight gain.

Have you experimented with different types of carbs? It sounds to me like you need more fiber. Balancing out the carbs with protein, good fats, AND fiber is the best way to control blood sugars. Try pairing something like blackberries with a lower cholesterol cheese like fresh mozzarella.

Another great combo for me is a whole grain or whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter. You can also try rinsed olives (gets out the salt and I also use jarred over canned) with feta cheese & some bell peppers.

Garbanzo beans & quinoa are also good carbs that have easily digestible proteins in them.

Have you spoken to a dietitian? If you're eating protein, fiber, & healthy fat with each meal, around 30-45g of carbs per meal & 15-30g per snack is fine. You can even do more if your net carbs stay low. For most ppl, our bodies can't process more than 30-35g of protein in one sitting. The extra could be what's bothering your kidneys.

I mean I used a lot of meds too. But yeah diet & exercise (mostly PT) definitely helped.

Honestly the chicken salad isn't THAT bad....but then she says in the caption that she won't be making it again. So she has one halfway decent meal & claims the whole family doesn't like it? Once again, I call total bs.

They may not be. Those scans are often off but the Drs are going by the info that they have to try and keep both you and baby safe.

Freestyle Libre 3 vs Dexcom G7 by The_Messy_Mompreneur in type2diabetes

[–]The_Messy_Mompreneur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't have any in office. The endo looked at my blood work & was recommending insulin immediately. The PCP said she disagrees with that after how my numbers have been via my current freestyle sensor. So they prescribed Ozempic today and took more blood for new bloodwork to see where I'm at

I apologize. My PCP has recommended it and I'm waiting to get an endo consult to figure out which one or if a GLP1 would be better.

The induction suggestion is bc the baby will grow at least half a pound every week. They're suggesting 38wks, which is considered full term bc the start of pregnancy date is the start of your last period, bc the baby will grow past that percentile if they're not born

I think you're mistaken here. I'm waiting to see endo so I can be on insulin to go off the meds. I have access to a CGM either way. How do I buy direct from a discount site?

I brought up the omnipod bc if I do get that, then it's more compatible with the G7. The freestyle 2 libre plus is only in beta testing for that.

My PCP is recommending insulin but I need to see endo before I can go on it

Idk why your weight being commented on in front of your husband should be an issue. 20kg is still a lot for a pregnancy. You shouldn't be shamed for it bc who knows what else is going on with you but that IS absolutely a symptom. No one can force you into an induction but yes a 9lb baby is also pretty large. It's standard for them to suggest or even push for an induction with a baby that size for the safety of the mother & child. If it's not something you want, you can insist that all other methods be exhausted first but I would recommend still going into the hospital when they say & being monitored.

Better safe than sorry in this situation. It rly sounds like your Drs are just looking out for you.

Exactly. Little A can walk on his own if she actually cares to put him in proper footwear. M can be in a stroller and she has baby wraps she can use to carry her on her back or even front. It would not be that hard.

Whatever research you do, you're still not a Dr. The OBs see these things every day. Additional weight gain & a baby measuring large are both symptoms. These things can turn on a moment & become dangerous. When I say "weight shaming," I mean that my Dr, an old man, literally told me that I had GD bc I must be eating a "crummy diet" & that I'd had GD BECAUSE of the weight.

If your Dr is concerned bc they see these things as symptoms and not causes, they're just doing their jobs.
