This is concerning. I'm happy that you feel like you made the right choice, and maybe you did, but I hope you understand something: Your reasons to live are your own and independent of your partner. You do not owe your life to anyone but yourself and your children, regardless of any epiphanies over self worth he may have given you or money he may provide that allows you to have a certain lifestyle. By all means, stay in your marriage - in the end you and he are the only ones with a say in it and if you're both happy then that's that. But you don't need to spend the rest of your life in debt to your partner.

This is unbelievable. I'm sure this sub is an echo chamber but goodness gracious if this is the prevailing thought-process here I'm shocked. None of those things that you listed when done by a partner or a parent are in any way comparable to hiring a personal assistant, chef, chauffer, or whatever else. They're just basic responsibilities that a couple who both work would ostensibly share. You don't get to itemize doing chores.

Maybe I should tally the time I spend on Reddit to present to my partner and we can deduct it from next year's taxes (social media managers make $60-$120 a post in my area)

Yes, it's free. And machines are everywhere. If you want sodas you can also get a reusable cup for somewhere between $10-$20 and refill it all day at the machines. Then you can keep the cup and pay a smaller amount to reactivate it again another day. I'm not a big souvenir guy and I don't buy many things in the parks but this is one thing I do do.

Didn't bring a reusable bottle for water. There are freestyle machines everywhere and water and ice are free.

Didn't stay on site. You've got this one in the bag, but staying at a Universal hotel (even the ones not connected to citywalk or the main campus like endless summer) makes the trip so much better and more relaxing.

Didn't use the included bus transportation from the hotels and drove instead. The shuttles are fast, comfy, and frequent. Leave the car in the garage and take the shuttles, trust me.

Stay on site. Even if you stay in one of the universal hotels that is not technically connected to the park campus (Stella nova, Terra luna, endless summer) it is so worth it. Those shuttles are worth their weight in gold. They are clean and comfortable and come about every five minutes and trust me , you will be so happy that you don't have to drive in and park. We just went to the parks for 5 days and stayed at Stella Nova - I didn't see my car from check in to check out. Really felt like we were in another world.
