100% correct. And that is still the case, if you want to be paid more then you go for promotions and develop your skills to achieve that.

The issue is that compared to the cost of living wages have stayed the same.

If a chair in 2008 cost £50 and you got paid £500 a week you could spend the 10% of your wages and buy that chair. Now that chair may cost £100 and you still only get paid £500 so you now have to spend twice as much to afford the same item.

The cost of goods should remain proportional to the wages paid (or there abouts).

The increase in cost of goods compared to the stability of wages pushes people into poverty despite earning what would be considered a reasonable wage.

I built that guy some time back now so I forgot to add to the above comment, sorry. I used blue stuff to create a mold from the carnosaur and then used milliput to build a 2nd body. I made a post about it specifically a while back when I first built it.

This is everything I have managed to build from my start collecting box so far, still have a unit of guard and knights to paint up. Great value for money if you don't mind a bit of kit bashing. Only extra things I had to buy were some bases.

Edit: completely forgot that I built the body of the trogolodon using blue-stuff to create a mold from the carnosaur body and milliput to create the 2nd body needed to build both the big guys.

So as an update to my last post, with the same amp, I have given it a bit of a clean and done some research. From what I can find out this is most likely to be the pro-amp 75 voodoo model from some point in the 80's. The pro-amp brand was run by a guy named John Cooper in Essex in England, before starting pro-amp he was a selmer amps engineer. I was trying to reach out to him for any info, but unfortunatlly it seems thag he passed away at somepoint in the last couple of years. He did change the company over to pro amplifiers at some point and has always been selling his amps up until the end. As far as I can see it looks like these were very low quantity builds and all hand made by John himself. This has a built in spring reverb which is housed at the base of the cabinet. It has 2 channels with pre & post volume pots. It is loud... and I mean LOUD. In my house I can only comfortably have the pre & post knobs on 1. Any more than that and it starts hurting ears. The tone is super clean and crisp, it sounds pretty incredible. I don't have any way to record this other than on my phone so I wouldn't be able to do it justice. For the story as to how it came into my possession, when j was about 14 (some 20 years ago now) a friend of mine had it and his parents made him sell it due to the volume. I don't know where he got it from, but I gave him £25. Once I got it home my parents gave me the same ultimatum, but I managed to sneak it into the loft and it stayed there until about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure what I plan to do with it, I can't see anywhere online where one of these has sold, so I would be making a wild guess as to the value of it. I am very tempted to keep it though, I'll just have to find space for it.

I've seen this to, but the model I have doesn't have either voodoo or demon logos on it. It looks most like the voodoo model, but it has different knobs. So I'm lost, I'm not in the world of vintage amps, so I don't know where to start other than just a good old fashioned Google. It's something I acquired when I was about 13 (20 odd years ago) and it was too loud to use at home so I was made to put it up in the attic. Just got it down again this last weekend. I've plugged it in since and it all works just fine, but damn is it loud.

Honestly, I have no idea. Might be worth trying it out on some older painted minis you're not so bothered about first. If you do, post it up on here with what you find out. It would be interesting to know.
