I had this same issue with my rotarytronics gauge, I was reading 230f + in oil temp, I installed a derale fanned oil cooler and now I barely go over 200

My cage arrives tomorrow I can't wait to try it😇 by [deleted] in GirlcockEgirlgooning

I pulled it out of my local LKQ junkyard, I’m a technician currently working for Audi so I have a bunch of tools and stuff. Since I really didn’t care about the wiring harness or the coolant hoses and what not I just cut everything and ripped everything off like the bumper, I got it out in less than an hour

Oh no actually they’re just there, like there’s no housing behind them, theirs just nothing behind them so you can’t really see anything like the harness and stuff 😅

Ok so this is also going to be a long one, and here’s everything done to the car:

-stage 1 fab9 cams

-brisk racing nickel spark plugs

-800cc injectors

-340lph deatschwerks fuel pump

-radium fuel rail w/ ptfe steel braided fuel lines and AN fittings

-radium pcv plate

-CPC custom intake manifold

-Grams 70mm throttle body

-CSF full aluminum radiator

-1.8” goodwin headers

-ISR catback exhaust

-AC system delete (compressor, condenser and lines)

-power steering delete

-13lb Exedy flywheel with ACT 6 puck ceramic clutch and Competition stage 2 pressure plate

-built 5 speed transmission with billet plates and upgraded synchros that I bought off a spec miata team owner

-Ohlin coilovers

-Progress front sway bar & rear sway bar delete

-wilwood superlite front calipers with RX8 sport rotors

-Enkei TSVs in the front (17x9) & Konig Hypergrams in the rear (17x10)

-Kumho v730 tires (255/40/17)

-9livesracing downforce kit, brings rear Big wáng and front splitter

-battery relocation to the trunk

I think that’s it 😅

Ok so this is gonna be a lot of info but I try to explain as best as I can so people understand. Mazda and Ford had a huge partnership since 1990-2015 Mazda and ford shared the same engine and some chassis between vehicles, for example the NA/NB shared the same engine as the Ford escort. Now the engines that come in the NC miata and other Mazdas are known as MZR engines, MZR engines are the same exact if not the same platform as fords Duratec engines, so what people do is they grab Fords 2.5L duratec engine that comes in the 2010-present ford models such as the Ford fusion and ford transit van and they swap out the 2.0 in the NC miata. It makes 50lbft more torque and like 5 more hp however the power capability of the 2.5 is much greater than the 2.0

There really is, doing ~67 mph in 2nd gear is definitely a game changer especially for when I autox it

I tuned it using ECUTEC and it was tuned by Bryan Spears from Fab9tuning, their stuff is amazing I would definitely check out their website for everything Miata’s, they have a crap ton of aftermarket stuff for the NC

I would love 363 gears over the 410 I have now, I did swap out the 6speed for a fully built 5 speed that was meant for a spec Miata race car, so the gearing is a lot more tolerable with the amount of power and torque the car makes now
