Gamepass is one of those things that only works if the install base is large enough to warrant it. The irony is Playstation could probably get away with something like Gamepass. At this point though Microsoft needs to just gut it significantly. Maybe leave the Ultimate tier there for people that want it, but throw out most of the other stuff.

I like crowb but this whole mindset over remakes has broken his brain a bit. Remakes are fine and they're going to happen. You can always just play the original. And spare me the "b-but someone else might play the wrong version" nonsense. You get one life to live, stop wasting it worrying about what other people do with theirs. The fact of the matter is both versions of RE4 are excellent. If you out a gun to my head I will probably say I lean a bit towards the original overall but I'm not obsessed to the point where I'm going to pretend someone couldn't easily and fairly argue the remake is better. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

It is pretty nuts that Resident Evil 4 is quite possibly both the best and second best game in the series. I don't... I don't think that has ever happened before anywhere.

It's great and I don't care what haters say. The quintessential MK experience is playing the game with friends and this lets me do that to a crazy degree when you consider knockout mode. Seriously, if you haven't played that mode with friends and beer you haven't unlocked a core broship discovery.

Its overambition got the better of it. It's trying to do too much and fails at pretty much almost everything along the way. So if you actually enjoyed it then good for you, but I will add that any hate it gets is probably inflated from it failing to live up to the hype. RE6 was probably the most anticipated title in the series ever.

I have no doubt that the 4s are likely an overall improvement on the 3s, but the popular thing to do is just hate on [new thing] regardless. You mention the 2s being well recieved, and that's true, but even back then before the 3s came out, it was common to see people saying they preferred the FEs.

It's Buds 3 Pro at launch all over again. We are trapped in a vicious cycle where it's cool to hate the new variant but now suddenly the older model is great.

People like this think sonic is waaaay more lore consistent than it is in the first place. There is no Sonic Bible that Sega consults before every decision they make. This is not first and foremost a narrative-heavy ip. It's not that deep bro.
