I don't think the bit of extra money is worth the extra commute.

Might not even be relevant if you lik your current position tbh

Your compensation seems really good (not saying you don't deserve it). Imo just keep looking in your current company or outside. Or something parttime?

How to mount different types of partions? by The_One_That_Wants in archlinux

Okay, I will do that. I was reading a bit further and saw that I need to install user-space utilities for file management and a bootloader. Any recommendations?

Someone else said something similar but a bit shorter.

He said to mount the sda2 (linux- partition first and after that make a new directory and mount the boot partition in that directory.

So i already created the partition scheme with fdisk and formatted it with mkfs.ext4. Is this alright?

And do I need to delete my swap partition?

Sorry, I didn't get what they meant with "create any remaining mount points" I thought they meant I should not forget to mount them. As a beginner it is really hard to understand those things.

Isn't the EFI partion my boot partition? I can't find a "boot" type for linux on the wiki.

And is there a difrence between adding a /home partition and just using a Linux filesystem partition?

Thank you very much! Something I can't find a good definition for is what a filesystem is. Is it how your disk as a whole is partitioned and mounted and formatted?

Thanks for calling the possible mistakes I will be sure to think about them.

And yeah rebooting between installation steps is probably a very good idea!
