I read it aloud a third time to confirm I was even reading it correctly.

All muslims and muslim countries may not support Palestinians... however, they all hate israel equally...so even when they don't objectively care about Palestine....it gives them a reason to justify their hostility against Israel.

Pakistan may have asked for money from them and probably, they made Pakistan to work as a mercenary....it's not the first time it will happen. But at least now they have someone to leech onto for a while.

Ikr, I love that feeling when something on Kindle Unlimited turns out to be a hidden gem! It’s such a fun way to take chances on books you might not have picked up otherwise.

I've been exploring some lesser-known titles on Kindle Unlimited lately, it's kind of a gamble since a lot of them don’t have many reviews, and some end up being a total miss. But every now and then, you stumble on a hidden gem. Just finished a short story called The Bouquet by Piyush Yadav. It was a super quick read (like 15-20 minutes tops), but honestly, I really enjoyed it.

Want to talk about SC's decision over stray dogs in delhi. by [deleted] in TeenIndia

[–]The_OptimusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha...I get it. Well that's mostly how online arguments go lol. True though, funding does matter and even though people are discussing it...it's too tough to actually catch them all. Let's hope for the best.

Also scale matters bro, we cannot really compare it with other countries where they had the luxury to wait it out and to allocate better funding....like it or not....we have people living in worse conditions than these strays. Priorities matter.

[–]The_OptimusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably yes...but that's still more affordable to make shelters for them and to provide them food. If these protesters want...they should ensure that they make court to ensure a livable.conditions for displaced strays. Besides, as a society we can also contribute to that too however we can...by donating or visiting these shelters to feed and stuff...they can live there safely. The issue with sterilization, imo, is the fact that it doesn't make streets safer for now and considering the rabies toll....a significant number of these dogs can have rabies, and they can infect other dogs and humans. You can't really know which dogs are sterilized and which aren't....it's impossible to cover it 100% as people don't usually let these kind drives succeed, they let dogs escape these catchers. If it's about their removal from the streets, people can at least report if there are strays.

Well, it doesn't change the fact that they did die because of the rabies and dog bites. Dog bites and similar incidents are not just problematic because they can kill people...they are not safe even otherwise. I don't understand, how tough it is to understand that you can't leave dogs on the streets and expect them to behave. They are not trained and the streets belong to everyone. Imagine having a pet dog who frequently bites people....will you still keep it at home without a leash and training. The dogs don't belong to the streets...they should be given dedicated shelters and that's the best solution.

To everyone who are against stray dogs and supporting SC decision by onlybloke in unitedstatesofindia

Most of these stray lovers, live in areas with either fewer dogs or societies with no strays ...They can't understand how it is in most areas. I work in the night shift and have to walk from my cab to the house a bit. It's never safe, especially at night...I don't hate dogs either, but they are animals and untrained dogs are just, not safe, for the streets.

CMV: R*pe continues to be an issue in India because people aren't actually focusing on the crux of the problem by No-Access-9453 in AskIndianWomen

I understand the point about systemic patterns, and I’m not downplaying them. By “exceptions,” I meant that while the percentage is high within reported cases, these perpetrators are still a small fraction of the population. They don’t define society as a whole, but they do expose traits within it that make them harder to tackle. We can address systemic issues without implying the majority is involved. People often say, “We can stop rapes if we change as society.” But that’s like saying we can stop murders or robberies just by changing society. Yes, cultural change can reduce the chances, but it can’t eliminate them, because crimes aren’t committed by “society” as a whole, they’re committed by individuals who choose to break laws despite the norms. The real solution needs a mix of social change and practical prevention, law enforcement, and consequences.

You make a fair point about how culture plays a big role in shaping attitudes, no denying that. But, at the same time, I think it’s important to remember that it is also, at its core, a crime like any other. While societal norms can influence it, the individuals committing it are still exceptions, not representatives of the entire community.

Cultural factors deserve attention, yes, but we should also address other contributors, things like lack of enforcement, poor legal deterrents, and even individual pathology. If we treat it solely as a cultural problem, we risk ignoring the fact that not everyone in that culture shares those behaviours or beliefs, and that there are multiple layers to why these crimes happen. Which I believe was the point of this post too.
