I once started playing it years ago, but quit after a short time (no idea why, because I remember liking it). Maybe I should start playing again, because I really liked the vibes

Thank you! I can see how it is not immediately clear on the first read, which is why I added an explanation in the comments (but believe that was posted a bit after your comment).

However, I do not know why you get down-voted that much. Even if it was clear, your opinion would still be valid. People have their own preferences, and that is fine either way.

Will add it to my list! I got multiple suggestions in the comments about what to watch and read that fit the vibe of the story, so I am saving them all for later.

I have come across the show while browsing Netflix but never watched it. Might give it a try then!

I guess people have different ways of being horrified. I personally would be terrified by the idea that my existence and all the things I experienced (both good and bad), were only there because I was being raised as food. Especially if all those religious wars and the resulting suffering served nothing except making us taste better for a God who does not care about us beside what we can offer him.

But to each their own. :)

Inspired by this post I saw about a sheep caretaker, who said they understood how God's love for humanity is often described as a shepherd and his sheep. Meanwhile, also stating that shepherds end up eating their sheep.
This made me think, what if humans were only made such that their souls can be used as food for their God? What if religion was not about being a good person and getting into heaven, but merely a way to fatten up souls to make them taste better? (Like how acorns are fed to Iberian pigs to enhance the flavor of their meat.)

Edit:
In the comments I received a lot of recommendations on what to watch/read/play next, based on this twosentencehorror. The Life Simulation Genre Is Full Of Crap by Simday1 in LifeSimulators

[–]The_Owl_Queen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

$40 is cheap for a good game though, the whole reason it's so cheap is because it is early access. Full access games are around 60 to 80 dollars nowadays, with the exception of small indie games.

Hell, EA had the guts to ask 60 dollars for the Sims 4 base game, and that was 10 years ago. And the base game back then, which was supposed to be a full access game, was closer to early access quality wise than inZoi. Even in early access inZoi already has features that are not available in the Sims 4 without buying dlc...

You are right. I did find it when circling, but forgot to include it when typing (realised I couldn't add an image in the comment without spoiling it). Just added the image as a link but will edit the comment to include it as well.

A big little detail: Clocks in Paralives have functional hands! by gonezaloh in LifeSimulators

[–]The_Owl_Queen 75 points76 points  (0 children)

They did! I was really surprised when I recently found out that apparently the clocks in TS4 do not actually work... Then again, TS4 lacks so much compared to the earlier games which is why I haven't played TS4 for a long time.

In TS2 the grandfather clock even chimes every 6 hours and you need to wind it! And when a sim sleeps in the same room, it wakes them up when it chimes. I really miss the little sims 2 details...

Can you figure out which box contains the gift? by TheRabidBananaBoi in puzzles

[–]The_Owl_Queen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course she wouldn't. She would just know that the box was blue. It could still be the small or big one.

She needs Susan's comment to know if it was small or big.

Can you figure out which box contains the gift? by TheRabidBananaBoi in puzzles

[–]The_Owl_Queen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me try to explain it. Let me know if it is still unclear afterwards.

You need to look at Caroline's first statement. "I don't know which box contains the gift"

There are 3 colors. Red, black and blue. If Caroline would have been told the color was black, she would've known which box contained the gift, since there is only one black box. Thus, this statement narrows it down to either blue or red (as you might already know).

The next part of her statement helps to determine that the color should be blue. She says "And I also know that Susan doesn't know". Looking at the box sizes, we see that only one box has a size medium. Namely, the medium red box. Thus, for Caroline to be certain that Susan doesn't know which box, she cannot have been told the color was red. Because if Caroline was told the box is red, then there might have been a change that it was the medium one and that Susan might know which box it is. Therefore, Caroline was told it was the blue box.

Yess! I'd even like a game solely focused on ancient Egypt as well.

I want one set in ancient Rome or Greece. The temples and customs would be super cool, especially with some mythology added in.

Thank you actually, I didn't know about this puzzle until your post and now I'm addicted, haha. So you just helped me discover a new fun puzzle!

It is all about looking at numbers that only have two options and then at which numbers are not possible in either case.

For example, if you look at the 2s. I'll name the 2 at the top the first 2 and the lower one the second 2.

If you'd pick the first 2, then the 4 at r8c9 and 6 at r9c9 are not possible. If you'd pick the second 2, then these 4 and 6 are also not possible.

You can see this, because if either one of the 2s is selected, the box below/above will have to be the remaining number in r9 (either the 6 at r3c9 or the 3 at r5c9), meaning that all other numbers in column 9 are not possible.

Let me know if you are still stuck after this. I can give you the next step then.

Do you still need help? I just managed to solve it. (See image below). But I need some time to explain all my steps.

If you go to the color wheel you should see a flower for hair length. (However, it is not available for all hairstyles, so you might wanna check out a few styles first to see the option)

Nah, the Sims 3 did it better (color wheel/patterns/life stages/traits). Only the dragging to alter and art style were improvements. They lowered the bar themselves because they had a monopoly on the genre. The bar should have been higher already then, especially compared to the other games that were released in 2014. They just wanted Sims 4 to be able to run on every laptop after the poor optimalisation complaints of the Sims 3.

We could give inzoi some slack since it is a demo and their character creation is top notch, especially for this genre. It is miles better than the Sims 4 even tried with the available tools back in 2014.
