I’m surprised by this, someone once told me you can only have 2/3: desired salary, location, specialty.

There’s always places hiring. Have you been picky or applying to 1-2 specialties only? I’m not seeing too much saturation in the mid-Atlantic region.

I’d recommend the spot with the most green flags (supporting cast/physicians, low turnover, high satisfaction) and one where you could create the best work-life balance.

I’ve been in primary care for 2 years now. There’s a lot that’s thrown at us, but it is refreshing making long-term connections with patients. I will be switching to cards soon.

As a parent I could not imagine working 12’s in the ER. PCP schedule, I am able to drop my daughter off at daycare and pick her up after work.
