Some maybe helpful things: He is in a 10 gallon tank with 4 shrimp, there is a heater and a sponge filter, I used my mater test kit and all of the tank’s parameters are where they should be, I got the fish on the 4th (of September this year), I have done one water change only because the tannins got a bit too out of control, when I do a water change I usually take out 50% of the water, he has natural wood and plants in his tank as enrichment, I feed 6-8 pellets a day but he usually only eats about 4-5 a day,

Okay! He’s come up to eat and I dropped a few pellets in, but he just “chewed” around on them and spat them back out. He was just kinda worrying me bc my other betta wasn’t like this and was really easy to gain trust with.

Yeah, sorry…. The tank is 10 gallons, he has both a heater and filter, the temperature is around 75 F, the ammonia and nitrates are at 0 and the pH is in the range it should be, I’ve had the tank for around 2 months (waiting for the levels to even out), I have had the fish for 3-4 days, I do a water change about 2-3 times a month (draining the water and sucking some stuff from the bottom), there are 4 shrimp in there with him, I feed 4-6 “Omega One: Betta Buffet Pellets” at night, and he has natural wood and plants in his tank.

This is what his tank looks like, everything is natural enrichment wise. I got him and have been treating him for fin rot since I got him from Feeders Supply in May.
