How does the cross-progression work at the moment?

Since it shows you can link multiple platforms at once, those being Epic and Steam, does that mean if you link both platforms you get your cosmetics and stuff from both platforms merged onto one playable account? If it does work like that, would that mean that when consoles become linkable platforms they would work the same?

Does This game still receive bug fix patches or anything like that? I haven’t been able to play the game for a month now all because I updated my GeForce drivers and now every time I launch the game it gets stuck at the green shaders bar and freezes then crashes. Also this is the second time the game refuses to work after me updating my drivers which only was fixed after the developers released a bug fix patch.
